  1. Box score watching but 7 shots a period won’t win you many games and 4 goals on 7 shot per period don’t help either.
  2. Honestly, I’d prefer that than them actually trying to play hockey. I missed this one for the Mrs. but the box score says this isn’t the type of game teams win/lose twice in a row. Flyers surely win if they outshoot us 40-15 again. I hope they totally flip their game out of anger rather than dig their heels in again. Then maybe the Sabres can flip the script with another 5-2 win but get 25 more SOG.
  3. I missed this one to spend some time with the Mrs. We’re in peak football and F1 is still in season. I have caught everything else. Box score says “I want to suck you dry” was quality tonight.
  4. I like that UPL rides with the same theme for both the blue/gold and black/red. The whole buffalo face/skeleton is a cool look. I like Cooley's as well. Just hate the slug. I am curious if he wanted to incorporate the Bills charging Buffalo but there was some trademark issues, and the slug was the closest he could get?
  5. Pitt Basketball doesn’t get enough hype in Buffalo with SU down the road. But they’re no joke. Better than SU last year.
  6. Don’t love this one. At least it’s not the slug? Why did Cooly do that on an otherwise pretty cool mask?
  7. Years ago I had a friend set another friends autocorrect on their pgone for "What's up?" to "I want to suck you dry". Is there a way one of the mods can do that with "6k"?
  8. A crazy thought I had watching the Raiders last night. The Sabres goalie situation is waaaaay better than the QB/Coach situation in Vegas.
  9. Andrew Peters, man was he a frustrating player. He was big with little other skill so was just sort of dubbed an enforcer. But he sucked at that too. Every memory I have of a Peters fight he lost.
  10. Really working hard to get this whole 6K thing to stick. A for effort my guy!
  11. I think they’ll let Savoie stay down while they can. This might be a good time for Ryan Johnson
  12. Agreed. I’m surprised this team is starting the way they are. Color me concerned. But we’ve also barely started a 6 month season. Happy to talk about what’s going on, but way too early to start talking about selling of Granato or Adams.
  13. Football is different. In the worst of Bills years, anybody can lock in for 16 (now 17) Sundays. The NFL is the Thanksgiving of sports. Sure your family sucks, but you can manage it to make your mom happy, plus beer and food. When your team sucks for 82 games, you lose track of one, that turns into 10. You turn it back on again after 2-3 weeks, they suck, nobody is at the stadium, it wasn’t fun, few gaps get bigger, and one day you realize you haven’t even checked a actors in 4.5 months.
  14. I mentioned this earlier in the year after watching the Sabres behind the draft video that it feels like Adams takes a back seat to almost of thing. I didn’t get the vibe that he delegated the draft, or collaborates, rather he came across like a kid at the adults table, staring at Jersey Forton for approval for everything. Other than sitting at the head of the table, he didn’t come across as the boss man at any point. That said, if this team is built on prospects , Adams let’s Forton control the draft, we aren’t active in FA, and we aren’t packaging any of those prospects for any veteran players positions of need, WTF is he doing?
  15. This is hard place. Pegula deserves zero leeway. I totally agree. He’s the worst owner in NHL history. But Pegula isn’t Adams and Granato. At some point you have to spectate the two and evaluate who is who and who is doing what in their role. I didn’t necessarily disagree with anybody last year that Adams and Granato had some flaws in their plan and could be replaced this offseason. But I also think they did well enough last year to be given another shot. I will say, that as positive as I am trying to be with the season, that the product we’ve seen so far isn’t enough. I’m also waiting for the season to play out before I sharpen any pitch forks.
  16. I think Pegula has scared the hockey fan base pretty deep. I think if the Sabres found themselves in the conference finals this year we’d be surprised at how sterile and how many visiting fans filled the stands. I think it will take a couple years of real sustained success to get the cit fully on board. It’s a bit heart breaking when I think about it.
  17. I totally agree. Dancing around .500 is “fine”. I’ll start to show a lot of concern if their first streak is a 4+ game losing streak.
  18. This season has barely started but the last 12 years have been historically bad. Like Terry might actually be the worst owner in NHL history. On the football side of things, Terry Pegula and the Sabres are my big argument for sticking with McBeane through whatever it is that’s going on over there. That said, I’m really hoping the Sabres can figure this thing out this year. As a fan I’m not sure I can do another tear down.
  19. If we do this dance around .500 and the first streak we go on is a 4-5 game losing streak then I’ll be worried.
  20. Yea dominated in the 3rd. I am frustrated with how slow we looked compared to NJ. We’re built in fairly similar fashion. I don’t think we need to be as good as NJ right now, but at times we didn’t look even comparable. But I’m not gonna freak out on the rest of the year until they start stringing together losses. Keeping those to a minimum means it a small win streak or two changes the dynamic very quickly.
  21. Lucky we had some of the core and step up with some timely goals. I haven’t watched any NJD yet this year, they are quick. Way faster than this Sabres team. This one could have gotten out of hand. The Comrie injury is worrisome. He’s played well in his 4.5 periods this year. That wasn’t a super explosive or stretchy movement. Pretty mundane and non-contact to be doubled over.
  22. Dad? Did you get your cigarettes? Can you come home now?
  23. Every time I see this thread title at the top of the forum I immediately think of Oregon Trail. Crossing my fingers nobody in Rochester has dysentery.
  24. I am at my in-laws and was only able to watch about 10-15 minutes. This is a tough win for me, because apparently this means I have to spend the next 75 games at my in-laws not watching if I want them to keep winning.
