  1. With this cap situation I’d harbor a guess a few will have too or end up retiring
  2. There’s a few additional factors you are not mentioning. Past performance is heavily valued in contract negotiations. The flat cap will suppress any non-star player. His career numbers are 37 pts in 82 games and then 31 pts In 56 games. He’s a 2/3 line tweener who hasn’t hit 20 goals yet. His literal category is going to be heavily squeezed due to the flat cap since 1st liners are paid and 4th liners tend to be a combo of cheap and cap dumps. The remaining money is dispersed and you can’t afford Kahun if he were awarded 4mil without further weakening the rest of the roster
  3. 2x2 would be great 2x3mil is my max
  4. Makes our Kahun ordeal a bit less unusual
  5. I’d say if they offered a 2 year deal about 3mil would be where I’d sit. Anything more is overvaluing him.
  6. 2.8 to 3.4 or so based on the immediate situation
  7. This year perhaps but we need to get better and we can’t afford Kahun at 3.75, Olofsson over 5 and Reinhart at 7+.
  8. I agree unless he’s wanting 3.75 + He’s a solid player but not quite worth that much.
  9. Supposedly only if it’s over 4.5mil I read. Effectively if an arbitrator says he should make 4.2 mil we would be forced to pay
  10. Well if he wants over 4mil I don’t mind the lack of a QO
  11. According to our local AP guy, Kahun and the Sabres will look to hammer out a deal tomorrow but it definitely sounds like Kahun wants much more than the Sabres are willing to give him and they didn’t want to deal with arbitration.
  12. I’m guessing Kahun is already in the midst of being signed.Krueger likes Kahun so I doubt he’s leaving.
  13. Could it be possible they weren't drafting for immediate need but for a specific type of player? One thing we certainly lacked was an elite scorer type prospect where as we technically did have Rossi type in Cozens. While I'd disagree with the decision; I will say it does make some sense.
  14. Turris being bought out
  15. Hmm, we reached a bit for Quinn then did the opposite with Peterka. I like this pick quite a bit.
  16. https://twitter.com/FriedgeHNIC/status/1313870212891058176?s=20 How do you embed?
  17. Matt Murray to OTT for Pick 52.
  18. Why is it we always go through this? Why must we always suffer while watching others rejoice? Why do we take 50% successes over 85% successes? Why do I even bother?
  19. I'm furious, I absolutely despise the pick since it was not only over Rossi and Perfetti but spits in the face of practically everything Adams and staff said they were doing. We took a one dimensional goal scorer that will take at least 2 years to work his way up to the team and will more than likely flame out like many before him.
  20. Technically yes

    So #8

Please Rossi, please. He strikes me as a great potential player with some Eichel/Dahlin level drive
  22. I’m rather confused by the trade; CBJ already have some cap problems and need to sign their 1C. Also how did Anderson value higher than Domi?
  23. Alzner and Alberkader are on waivers to be bought out. CBJ is leaning towards buying out Wennberg Jack Johnson has now been bought out.
  24. Some Islander fan proposed our ‘21 4th for Komorov and Bellows. Komorov is 3mil in cap but not salary and could be a solid 4th line role player and we’d get a solid prospect in Bellows
  25. There will be a season unless they don’t have to pay the players at all. Even in empty stadiums they make some amount of money from advertising which is more than cancelling the season and merely taking a loss. I’d guess they will cut inter-conference games and likely end up with a season around 55 to 65 games. 3.5 months for the season and then a regular playoff would start in mid to late April. Then use 9/10 weeks for the playoffs. Go on off on off etc and it should be very possible.
