  1. The One Buffalo App is dead; effectively between a myriad of glitches and the fact the Bills & Sabres apps worked fine as it was PSE decided to end the App's development. Much to the delight of the mobile ticket support people.
  2. That was only initially, now that seems like it isn't even a thought it would happen. We are good on that front.
  3. For starters, it isn't always a fallacy.... Euro teams and their fans have differing general approaches to sport fandom and their franchise set up. There's also the fact many Euro soccer teams have little to nothing in regards of logos or traditional depictions of their logos on their jerseys. If a soccer team places their logo above the heart on a 6" x 6" square from the start; the free space becomes more akin to the boards which were clear and now covered. Hockey logos are large and predominately featured on the jerseys and always have been. Anything that effects that in anyway such as distracting color clashing ads are a detriment. Euro hockey have so many ads due to their lack of alternative means of revenue to keep themselves solvent. The NHL isn't in any type of money crunch; while lagging behind the other 3 major sports it would still put any other hockey league to shame in its value. It has billionaire owners paying millionaire players; they have no need to sully the jersey to make a little more money. Especially since we gain nothing from it. Where the whole slippery slope idea does have value is in these sorts of situations. If the NHL says would you rather have a small jersey sponsor or 1 15sec ad more during an icing; you can gather a sense of tradeoffs. However we don't gain anything through jersey ads. Ticket prices won't be lowered, teams won't magically get better (the revenue is far to small to make enough of an impact on the salary cap) and we only get hurt by it.
  4. It matters to me because I hate sponsors that don't match the team colors on the helmets already. Jerseys are meant to be what represents the team and the city it belongs to. The more ads that clutter the beautiful jerseys, the more muddled the image and impact the jerseys make until eventually the team ceases to be the Sabres but rather a sponsor. Likewise the team loses its hometown feel and ends up far less attached to the city but to their sponsors. Who wants the McDonald's Roswell Parks NHL team hosted in Buffalo, NY? I sure is hell don't.
  5. I told the HF boards that we should email/letter spam the NHL offices over this travesty.
  6. Absolute garbage from the NHL. They should be ashamed.
  7. I guess in a sense I would likely be happy in the return but fuming over Eichel going to the Rangers. It used to be due to them being in the division along with him sorta wanting to go there and the media hyping it. Now I hate more just because I want to spite the Rangers' fans.
  8. No thanks; but you all know that already. šŸ™‚
  9. Then you don't trade him..... it's not that hard of an idea to fathom lol šŸ™‚
  10. Just me being irrationally worried.
  11. It could be considered tampering
  12. Are you certain; what's to stop the Sabres from putting billboards around Anaheim about trading Zegras for Eichel?
  13. Does anyone with a background in law know of anyway we could use this to start a case of meddling by the Rangers? I know this is a Rangers podcast but some of them are bound to have ties to the team in some regard.
  14. Downtown Buffalo and NYC are both heavily blue; however outside the city of Buffalo is primarily slightly red tinted and Long Island is very red.
  15. I would never project any situation Eichel ends up a Ranger to be perfectly honest.
  16. Give me Dube, Zary and Monahan plus the 1st. While I’d keep Monahan, I’d guess he would only accept the move if we had another prepared. Retain half his contract and send him somewhere for another solid piece or two.
  17. They can't retain 50%
  18. My first idea for Tarasenko is to go Tarasenko(50%) & PHI's 2023 2nd to Philly for Van Riemsdyk, 2023 1st and 2022 4th In this scenario I'm targeting a short term replacement net front presence for Reinhart whom is a generally solid player and good guy. My 2nd idea would be Tarasenko(50%) to Philly for either Konecny or Farabee straight up. 3rd option is Tarasenko(50%) to Philly for Lindblom & PHI's 2022 1st
  19. I actually like this deal pretty well. Especially if we can get a trade for Tarasenko set up prior to the trade. St. Louis can't retain on him but we certainly could. Plus he's only under contract 2 years meaning the cap hit would only hurt in the rebuild/experience gaining years.
  20. I put it more on Botts to be honest. Adams has some fault but he wasn't exactly played a great hand. Krueger had a lot of influence over the team last year and the Pegulas were doing NHL related austerity, in part due to COVID. Reinhart wanted term but Krueger likely didn't see much value in him based on his funnel everything to Hall and Eichel strategy. Reinhart wasn't a flashy player whereas Hall was. Krueger liked Hall and from a marketing angle, to the general public, it makes more sense to try and pick up a new flashy player than extend a currently existing player whom Kreuger may not of appreciated. Fast forward to this offseason and Adams likely wanted a longer term contract whereas Reinhart now wanted a really short term one.
  21. That's a tad overly pessimistic. At minimum our forwards are inexperienced and young and not up to the task most nights. At best they could be a solid group that needs tweaking and a few extra pieces but a solid group nonetheless.
  22. Depends entirely on the team; but I would agree that 8 figures seems a tad exorbitant for any KHL team to offer.
  23. Yes, the Sabres will survive as long as they even can give us a semblance of entertainment because many of us are addicts. For better or for worse.
  24. Not one of those trades works well whatsoever. In every trade listed the Sabres get a mess of pieces with mediocre value. The Sens one is surprisingly the only one that even gives us more than a few pennies they found outside a store.
  25. Can the media stop trying to make Eichel to the Rangers happen; it's so bloody aggravating
