  1. well we had more then part of an season of TM evidence over the few months of off-season with botterill well what else is there to discuss besides "they suck?
  2. the only thing he did with the puck was touched it in the air, he didn't move it anywhere or have it on his stick for more than a split second
  3. I guess it's semantics(?)Possession? Sure if it's defined as just being the last player to physically touch the puck Control? Not a chance, he did not have control of the puck until he was well over the line
  4. Just saw the replay, watching from the Canadian broadcast and the puck is flipped in the air, he touches it with his stick as it's falling, crosses over the line with both skates, then reaches for the puck as it is on the blue line and pulls it over. If the nhl defines having possession by just whomever touched the puck last, the yea he had possession cause he was the last to touch it, but he didn't have the puck when he crosses over, he just touched it last.
  5. he will learn soon.....
  6. they won't make a coaching change this early. Maybe tippett could possibly be brought in as an assistant but there's no changes coming to the coaching staff or front office. Whay they need are some big hockey trades to shake things up
  7. new leader of the "Rotten Core 2.0"? Anyone know if he has contacted Vanek for tips?
  8. in a perfect world, yes, you just find a way to overcome and bad calls are forgotten, but that's just what fans of bad teams cause of what they think good teams do. And most of those 6 years were self inflicted when they decided to chase the dragon named McDavid.....
  9. the mhm will make a quiet announcement that a mistake was made, their bad, and send a nicely worded letter/apology card and a fruit basket to the team and make it all better. Unless it happened to a poster boy or darling team, then they will re write the rule to make it even more objective and confusing
  10. nah, that would make things easier for the refs, and make the game more enjoyable for fans cause the rules of the game would be easier for everyone to understand.
  11. I could understand maybe if it was sitting on his stick, but he made contact before crossing , then didn't touch it again until he was over Want to make the game better ( and this is for all sports), get rid of all the additional crap on the rules. What's an offside? If any part of your body touching the ice crosses the blue line before the puck, it's offside.
  12. At least the tank was worth it, this team is soooooo much better for it
  13. Never knew your entire body can be a cross the blue line before the puck and not be offside?
  14. Yeah, but that's after the game started
  15. have the Sabres ever started a game with the lead?
  16. ueah, most people call northern Ontario anything north of Toronto because Toronto is the centre of the Canadian universe apparently. Also I w would assume it's thought of that way because I'm sure it would be close to a 50/50 split population wise if you compared numbers of the population north of say Barrie and everything south of it. Usually when people refer to southern Ontario, the are talking about the little foot shaped area surrounded by all the great lakes.
  17. I was a click away from ordering centre ice for this season tonight, then at the last minute changed my mind and went to bed early
  18. i was going to say I hope the coaches found a nanny/babysitter to watch him before this game.....
  19. has that stopped them in the past? Everyone always sit there and think the big market teams won't do anything or be able to make deals because of lack of cap space, prospects or othee assetts, then the big market club gets the player....
  20. aside from Fleury (Who is highly overrated when with the pens) who was all that great that they were able to pick up and kept? Who were they able to sign before anyone else that was worth it? it is the only way to build a contender.......
  21. and right now they could look down at the Sabres in the standings (if they were in the same division)
  22. true But not so bad that he can be blamed for letting in goals on the bench
  23. don't insult juniors like that, they actually play some really good hockey....
  24. AHLer Tobias Lindberg Wrong Tobias I would have taken a shot at Pickard here. Sounded like an odd move by LV dumping him for Subban, but I guess Subban has the higher ceiling, but Pickard has more NHL experience....
  25. Well you will, but it will be out of excitment and joy, not to drown your sorrows and rage...........
