  1. How coulod any good coach not put an 18 year old rookie who has 1 goal and a couple of assits all season not put him out in OT??????
  2. I have him on my team that I cheer for and he is also killing that team too............ I see many of them, but usually its even at 0
  3. I think I heard on TSN, or during another hockey game broadcast that they actually could, not sure if its true thoughI could see the Flames fighting it though, they might have a case cause apparently they spelt the last name differently on the game sheet, they could argue it was someone else........
  4. He was, atleast for a 15' radius around his net
  5. Where was teh defence on that Devils goal? He was wide open for miles and allowed to just walk right in..............
  6. Ugh, more reason why Hecht should have been waived and gone. Now he is scoring goals that give them the lead and put them one step closer from being out of the race for the next almighty saviour #1 overall pick!
  7. I don't blame him much for that, I think that very few guys would have been able to make that save because of how quick he came out and shot, it definitly caught Miller by surprise that the Panther player was able to get out from behind the net with 2 Sabres back there
  8. Thats kind of what I like about it.
  9. What Clemmenson just gave up is a softie............. What Miller gave up was more about not knowing the Florida player would be able to carry the puck out from behind the net when 2 of Millers teammates were back tehre first to get the puck out of there.....
  10. Why do they always let guys stand untouched anywhere near the net, you would think after watching the abuse Vanek goes through they would want to get som payback and atleast do something with guys infront instead of offering them drinks and a pillow........
  11. The 2 shortest players with the goals..... Is Clemmenson wearing Vanbeisbroucks old mask? I really like the all red pads he has
  12. Are you sure about that? I think Cap Geek has them listed as having $4.6 mil availableIf the season were to end today, Calgary would be giving up a late top 10 pick
  13. Too bad hes to small to play in the NHL........
  14. And those guys have actually shown flashes of deserving to play in the NHL on better lines...........................
  15. I think you could stretch that to also include Myers in that the benching isn't a punishment to veteran (like Leopolds), but more of a chance to give the player some time off the ice to watch and maybe learn a few things from upstairs. Given them a game or 2 to see the game from a different angle and get an idea where they may be going wrong right now. I said it before in another thread that if you don't look at the point production (or lack there of), Stafford has played well on the ice and isn't a liability on the ice like some, he has just not been able to bury his chances (not saying they are the same, but kinda similar to Kessel earlier this year)
  16. Yeah, Stafford, everyones favorite Whipping Boy, Congrats to Drew cause with Kelsay of the Bills retiring yesterday, I think that makes him #1 whipping boy in all of Buffalo sports at the moment! Hecht is a close second though..... Aside from Stafford, who else in the top 6 would you bench first?
  17. I disagree with your views on Nolan, if its between him and Hasek I chose Hasek every time. Theres a reason why Nolan hasn't been able to stick anywhere in the NHL, theres just something odd and not right about Nolan as a person i think
  18. If it wasn't for the name on the back of the jersey, Foligno would be in the same list as Gerbe and Hecht right now for his play.........
  19. Its being said the Bruins and Blues have inquired but he doesn't want to waive his NMC to go to either and wants to stay a Flyer
  20. Not vague enough, try 'Some team to make a roster move today
  21. With Florida, I just don't see them looking for a possibly short term solution in net right now that they would have to give up some good assets for or else they would have already pulled the trigger on Luongo. They are in the same position as Buffalo right now in the standings so I don't think they are trying to make a run this year. As for Tampa, I can't see them willing to give up a potential 22 year old franchise defencemen who plays over 20 minutes a night for them right now for a few seasons of Miller. I can see them making an offer that includes picks and some good prospects, maybe one of their forwards, but not a former 2nd overall pick who is playing well for them right now. I see Detroit as the best option, and getting Howard plus in return is not bad. I would assume part of the deal would be conditional on the Sabres being able to re-sign Howard, who will buy them time while they continue to rebuild the rest of the team. Howard is a goalie that is "good enough" to win on a good team, but he hasn't consistently shown yet that he can be a guy who can carry a team and win on a bad team. I could see Philly trying to offer a deal to the Sabres that would involve sending Bryz over in return. I think in a smaller market like Buffalo, he could be good enough if kept, or they could take Bryz while also requesting something better because they would be doing Philly a favour and buy him out after this year. Problem is that I don't think Buffalo should (or would) want to trade Miller to a team in the East. in the west, another option would be the Oilers who could part with a young forward to solidify their goaltending. What I have been trying to say (I'm not in favour of trading any of those 3 guys by the way) is that if a move is going to be made before the deadline with a team looking to make a run, your not going to get anything more then prospects and picks in return, because none of these teams are going to give up something that could hurt their chances this year. You might have a chance at getting something better from a team in the offseason where teams can still make other moves in FA and the draft to replace players and fill holes.
  22. I'm not undervaluing anyoneDo you really think the Lightning would deal their 22 year old #2 overall pick defencemen from a couple of years ago for a few seasons of Miller without wanting the Sabres to throw in more to the deal? With the Redwings, they would be sending a decent goalie back, along with a pick (I would assume something high) or a good prospect. How much do you expect to get for basically downgrading your goaltending a bit for a younger cheaper goalie? Was it because I don't understand why the Sabres would want to give up Miller but the Panthers, similar in the standings would want to give up stuff for him when they could just as likely get Luongo back?
