Its sink or swim time for TN and Tm. They are judging each and every one of these guys on how they react to any given situation. They both know that next year we'll see a massive turnover of this roster. TM has said as much in that up to 10 of these guys will not be with the team. I REPEAT. This is not the roster we will see next year. A few will remain but there will be turnover. The soft passive play you see out of a lot of these guys now will be their ticket out of town.

Its funny that we're still talking about a lack of a response with this team even with the time thats passed from the Lucic/Miller incident. The league basically nullified the sabres ability to respond when they took the nuts of John Scott with his suspension. As much as I want stupid skill in this rebuild I also want guys that have to carry their nuts in a bowling bag. With all the younguns slated to play on this team over the next few years games like the one against Philthy will become all too common unless we have a few nasty characters to keep it in check. Fukc the league and their bushleague response to concussed Sabres players. We have to take care of our own.

I agree. The Filthy Flyers were taking liberties at every turn. I've not seen defencemen get away with heavy slashes like that team did tonight in a long long time. Add to that the elbow from Rinaldo and the goalie getting run. Drop the mitts boys. I'm hoping along with some gritty character guys we also get some backbone in the rebuild.

Flyers are getting some playoff officiating already. Lots of cheap heavy slashes happening.

Not sure if anyones seen or heard the interview with Mike Gillis on am 1040 out of Vancouver this morning but he's essentially given an ultimatum to his owner. Its Torts or me. He wants a return to the up tempo style they played under the former coach. He alluded to the fact that Torts was not his choice but the owners as was the 5 year contract. It was basically an I told you so moment aimed at the owner who from all appearances is a meddler. I should add that the article I read was on Yahoo so it is a little sensationalist with the ultimatum in the title. Take it for what it is. In my view Gillis has to share much of the blame in Vancouver with some braindead moves and mismanagement in the last couple of years.
