  1. That trade wasn't about Staff. Both GMs involved in that trade understand the type of player Staff is. His past history makes that obvious. He was a throw in.
  2. Pat Kane has made his own bed. That being said it would be nice to hear these allegations are false but Pats past history of buffoonery suggests to me that he still has a lot of growing up to do. Some guys never get past it.
  3. True. If charges are laid he'll likely have them reduced. Good thing Patty Kane isn't Joe Blow from Bumf#%@, Saskatchewan.
  4. And monied or connected people can and do at times appear to be above or outside the law.
  5. Not to pile on but...what the hell here goes. Who believes that Kane most likely remembers nothing of the encounter ? The way he was bragging about the drinking he would be doing after the cup win has me thinking he has a wee bit of a drinking and a maturity problem. I know, captain obvious. But I'll bet dollars to donuts he doesn't remember the night in question. Just a hunch of course. Nothing to go on but his outstanding reputation.
  6. pocketfisherman ?
  7. Patty Kane. asssed luck dude. Time to grow up was 5 years ago. ROR s transgression pales.
  8. Border cavity search ? Mmmm. No thank you very much !
  9. Sometimes you never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory- Dr. Seuss
  10. This is starting to sound less like an episode of the Sopranos and more like a hockey club.
  11. One trick I've used in the past is to cut a potato in half and prep the grill before hand by rubbing the cut surface of the potato over the grill. The starch helps make the grill non stick to a certain degree. It sounds funny but it really does work. To clean I'll take an onion and cut it in half and rub the cut side on the hot surface of the grill. The moisture of the onion steams the grill clean. Moisture and some enzyme that exists ? Old wives method I heard one time. This really works as well. The other thing I do is just scrape the crud off with a hardwood scraper I fashioned in the shop. You can get fancy and notch it to fit the ridges of the grill or just use a block with an angle to give it a relatively sharp edge. On a propane grill I'll use all of the same methods. With propane I'll also use the furnace of hell method and just cook the shite off. I'm just real paranoid about wire brush bristles.
  12. Love those x-rays of wire brush bristles inside people. Lots of fun. I never use them. There are safer ways to clean the grill. Not easier but safer.

    Briere?

One thing people seem to forget is that we got to see the absolute best that Briere had to give. We were lucky to have him when we did. His greatness didn't exist before Regier brought him in and he was never really the same player after he left. At least imo.

    Briere?

Briere was as exciting as they come. But its over for him. Retire and get into colour on the broadcasts. For that I'd welcome him back with open arms. Not to wear the jersey.
  15. Looking forward to the new Mission Impossible Friday night. WooHoo datenite with the wife. The trailer looks good with Tom doing many of his own stunts. Bout time these pussies earned their money.
  16. ROR will enter this season with something to prove. Now thats a scary thought.
  17. I'll stick to my chrome grill dog. That propane gets all up in my mouth.
  18. I also think that when tiger lost his Dad he also lost his common sense. I'm not sure the sleaze would have happened with his Father and biggest supporter in the picture.
  19. Tigers problem is his swing. He shouldn't have tried to re-invent what wasn't broken.
  20. sticky situation
  21. good for Lou. 72 years old. He'll do more napping than team building.
