When we were a small market team in a league without the cap we developed guys like Markus only to see them sign with a big market team because we couldn't afford them anymore. I don't want to develop guys just to trade em away when they finally hit. It would be nice to develop and let them help you win . Markus is helping us win.

Don't know many that hated big john. Know lots of fans that root for other teams that loved him for his working class struggle to get to the league in the first place. If the league refuses to discipline guys like Gudas or the other flyer ( forget his name- schenn ? ) who jumped a good foot in the air to deliver that head shot the other night then a little on ice discipline is in order. JJ on the one hand you say there is no way a goaltender has that much of an impact any more then you go on to say if Price doesn't play 75 games that team is in for a meltdown. Which is it ? I agree 100% I should add that someone should slap that habs coach.
