I definitely still care. My issue is I have to find, what I would consider, reason for hope to care at a level of keeping up with the team game by game. I lost that when Lindy left. I lost that when the O'Reilly thing happened. I lost it when the team built with Eichel and Sam was complete and didn't work. Etc.... I'm still following daily but I just don't know what we are right now. Heck last year it was clearer. We were a goal scoring team with no defense and no goaltending. This year we're no defense, decent goaltending and dramatically lesser offense - and the team is seemingly built. I'm disappointed basically and I don't see a reasonable answer. The crazy thing is I like almost all the players but dislike them as a team. So I suppose I'm also frustrated. I want that reason for hope, as mentioned above. I'm unsure it's there and leaning towards pretty sure it's not. And that sucks!

Oh I bet Thorny. I have to tell mine about it as they were born in 04 and 06. They just missed it. They're optimistic about where we're at even though the terrible games this year, are a special kind of terrible. They update me on where we are in the standings throughout the week. They'll watch other games and say we need the Islanders to lose here. Haha

I think there's a difference between won't and can't. Can't meaning, I don't think there's worthwhile moves for the cost. I agree, more could have been done to address goaltending. That's a risk reward thing too, so....

Yeah no doubt and let's not forget we all just want our team to win. When we've been bad this year, it's been unwatchable. Yet we're in the thick of it and not at the bottom. I'm hopeful that when healthier and Quinn back, good things can still happen.
