Friendly reminder, with today being Martin Luther King jr Day, there is a few earlier games in the NHL, so don't miss out on changing your teams. I think the Bruins play at 1pm...

His company runs the food service at the Buffalo airport and First Niagara Center. So, not only have we not run him out of town yet, but we smother him with loads of cash each day.- 17 replies

Lindy Ruff has already said Ryan Miller will start in goal for Buffalo tomorrow on back to back nights. Something interesting- three goalies played today on back-to-back.... Brzygalov, Lundqvist and Smith. All three got destroyed, and Lundqvist got pulled. Goalies on back to back nights so far this season are 0-3-0. Just something to watch for. -

Not much i could say that wasn't already said but here are some of my thoughts - -Sekera was excellent all game. He logged a lot of minutes against the Schenn/Giroux/Hartnell line. -Myers was brutal. -Is there a better duo in the world of hockey right now then Pominville and Vanek? Their chemistry is scary good. -Loved Steve Ott. Exactly what we have needed for a long time. -Gained much respect for Stafford for standing up for Ennis with his fight against Hartnell. -Loved how Ruff was aggressive with his dmen. When the dmen were joining the rush, it seemed like we more times then not buzzed Bryzgalov. -Grigorenko under used. Played many shifts with Ott and Kaleta as his wings. If i recall, he got zero PP minutes. -Hodgson was i thought the best Sabre today. He was everywhere, just couldn't finish. Ended with 7 shots on goal. -Hecht played really well i thought. Does ALL the small things well. Led the Sabres forwards in PK minutes, and second on team only to Myers. Did struggle at FO circle. -Speaking of the FO circle, Ennis was 11-6 on faceoffs, the games best mark. (Ott was 4-2 which is better but i count Ennis better bc he was there much more) -
I have TWC Rochester and get all the games in HD. Usually the SD and 2 HD channels are from 1400-1410 (or something) but they added a all-HD lineup from 1560-1569.

Pretty cool thing to note from the latest episode. McNabb says each player gets their own IPad on the team, so they can watch videos of how they played.
-
Exactly. Never understood people underestimating McCormick, and then saying we're "too soft".

I think the story here is mixed up. They've ALWAYS had problems. 1. Last year they had 8,000 season ticket holders, compared to 7,000 this year. 2. It's a shortened season. 3. They lost their best/face of franchise in Rick Nash. Judging by these, i think their ticket staff deserves credit for only losing a thousand season tickets.

This may be a bit easier- Ted Black was on WGR few days ago and said he loves Sabres nation that he will extend the offer to out of town fans. He said, e-mail Howard Simon (howard@wgr550.com) and Howard will forward the messages to Ted. You can figure out shipping costs once you talk to them. If i were you, i'd send him a nice message telling your story of a Sabres fan in Berlin and i am sure they will help you out. If not, i can help you out, assuming i land tix for Sunday's game, but i think going through Sabres is best. -
Anybody see this yet? It's a Sabres.com exclusive series look inside the scenes of the Buffalo Sabres. It's pretty short, but it's really cool. Kinda a 24-7 type series that focuses on all things Sabres, from the draft combine, to the draft, to the developmental camp and so on. They released the first episode tonight- http://sabres.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=85879

Highly doubtful. From what i've read about Pardy, he's somewhat of a Jay McKee. Blocks shots and can muscle guys from the crease. Pretty sure he will be in Rochester as soon as camp ends, but if it comes down to either playing Pardy or dressing Brennan long term, i think they'll call up Pardy. I also am probably in the minority, but i don't think TJ gets claimed if send down back to Rochester. Regier/Ruff took a risk once sending Pominville down, i really don't think they'll chicken it now either.

Not sure, but his career sure did go down hill quick.

lol yeah. Solid price. Will sign up as soon as it comes available. If it was over $80 i think i would of thought twice about ordering it.

Wonder if schedule will still be released tonight? Two hours after MOU is signed, Hecht will officially be a Sabre again. MOU signed. Schedule release is IMMINENT.
