  1. Screw Boyes! Trade 'em all!!!!...............except Vanek.....oh and Pominville, Gerbe, Ennis, Myers, and that other guy........
  2. Interesting. That whole "Peace Be Upon Him" thing really makes it impossible to use his name in vain, doesn't it? Can't you just hear it? "Mohammad Peace Be Upon Him dammit!!!" Got no ring to it whatsoever.
  3. Or at least fill the arena with hot babes selling hot dogs, beer, and instruction manuals for building bird houses....
  4. Fantasy and horror....you mean these boards?
  5. What interested me more was how the rest of the team mailed in the rest of the game after seeing Lindy finally lambaste one of their guys. They simply are used to kid gloves and sulk and throw passive aggressive tantrums when given a taste of tough love. And that's Lindy's fault. I LOVE how vocal he's become lately about the "crap play" and "stupid mistakes", and maybe he finally, FINALLY gets it. And maybe he can bring his newfound knowledge on how to effectively lead a bunch of overgrown (and grossly overpaid) children to become champions in a man's game somewhere else. But THESE guys are ruined to it, you have your evidence on tape from that second and third period if you wanna re-watch it. I hate Darcy Regier, because this crap goes right over his arrogant, fat head. Hot garbage. Darcy is the manager of hot trash. Woops, sorry. And Stafford blows. There.
  6. Re-reading Stranger in a Strange Land. With my second cat dying the other day I needed me some grok.
  7. This post is doubleplusgood.
  8. On the record, are you saying Daniel Briere wears shoe lifts?
  9. Agreed. Meanwhile, I think Paul Gaustad lost another three pounds just this game.....
  10. I've been watching hockey since 1975, when I was 5. And that's Eddie the Entertainer Shack. My dad talked about him all the time. And Gerbe and Ennis could easily stay on the same roster and win a Cup, provided the big guys they have on their team play as big as they do.
  11. OK Chet, trust your opinion. But you're wrong.
  12. Unless you're under another name in another message board...whatever. And I did make sense. When Ennis was playign wing he wasn't half as good as Gerbe. Now he's at least as good. And they both play even better when they're paired up. I don't know what was so hard about that. EDIT: thanks drnkirishone, I thought maybe it was just me who thought so :)
  13. Isn't that someone else's avatar you're using?
  14. From where, your living room? Watch the snoot.
  15. Gerbe and Ennis play better together than they do apart. And before Ennis was moved to Center, Gerbe was twice as good as Ennis was out there. I don't wanna lose either of them.
  16. He needs to go somewhere with an abundance of good bass players.
  17. Thank you for allowing me to!!!
  18. Usually, one wants to put something at the end of their statement that STRENGTHENS their point of view....
  19. There isn't a single player on this team that would make the Chicago Blackhawks interested in dumping Kane. Let's be real here. And just adding more of our guys into the mix only makes that fantastic scenario even less desireable for them, as the salaries then become lopsided the wrong way.
  20. That is not the definition of community, that is the definition of a club, with favorites already established, who get to act with impunity while the "newbies" have to jump through hoops in order to fit in. That said, I am not saying that you should run it any other way. Only that it's going to create more conflict rather than dissuade it, is all. And if that is what you like, then it's the perfect system for you :D Thank you for putting into words what I'm thinking the other Mods here would rather have been left unsaid, as it truly does undermine your credibility as objective overseers...if indeed any of you actually wanted that to be how you were viewed here. I will do as I am told and behave appropriately to the rules and mores and folkways of this club, because I enjoy the conversations I have here and am no longer so concerned with fairness on the internet as I used to be :D I only ask that you Mods forgive me and go easy on me, and other newbies, if we take longer than you might wish to fall in line with the pecking order. Sorry I had nothing more to add on the topic just yet. I just felt that this post really needed a reply. I now promise to talk about nothing but the topic at hand :D
  21. I wonder if you're right about an anti-Miller/pro-Miller factionalizing of the locker room...but the more I think about it, the more I think that could be true, and in fact that it could have already been in place long before Lucic ran him, and perhaps that's why he got no support. He's always been very vocal and critical of his teammates, and I can easily see a good bunch of them taking it out on him rather than being men and realizing he was right in all of his criticisms and improve their play. Listening to the game right now, hearing Derek Roy take two penalties within seconds of one another, and getting to hear the Devils score on the second one, after hurting Myers with a shot, I am reminded of some of those criticisms Miller had lobbed against his forwards in years past. And it looks like at least this Roy shmuck still hasn't listened.
