Now I see why they do it, FITZ. You let them get to you. Korab and D4rk love playing the bosses around here, among others, and they speak as if you and I are here to amuse them or face their ridicule. And the Mods let them get away with it, which is rather disheartening. But we of the unwashed variety should really just go on with the topic as if they weren't here. My "Warn Status" has already jumped because of trying to sort out another one of these long-time squatters instead of just ignoring his lame posts, and if you persist in defending yourself, so, I fear, will yours. They could have just ignored this thread if they felt bored by its content, and the Mods could have let them know how dumb it is to blow the thing up like they own the place, but, well, life ain;t always fair or balanced, is it? I suggest those of us who actually found the topic worth discussion simply discuss it and pretend that this secondary whine fest go on like so much heckling. Don't let it get to you. Without the support of the Mods, who obviously agree with the squatters in these matters, we might as well just ignore them. So, again, ANYWAY. FITZ, do you think that we will see the new GM and coach, when Terry finally gets his head out of the ground, will create a team that would handle the Lucic elbow differently? Which of these guys do you think will be around next season, in terms of tough guys?

I had a dream last night that the Sabres were on TV (and that's weird because my TV is still broken and I can't watch them until I get a new lamp), and they had this scruffy looking guy behind the bench (kinda reminded me of that Nashville coach but taller) and all I remember were voices of the announcers saying things like, "Nobody wants to come play against these guys anymore", and "Team toughness" and "Take no crap attitude permeates the roster"....I remember thinking to myself, "Hey, yeah, they aren't winning a whole lot yet but at least they're giving it their all and making the games entertaining through hard work" I know that's merely all the crap I've been spewing for years about what I WISH this team was all about, so I probably will just dismiss it as such. But it WAS the first time it actually made it to my dream state. Come to think of it, I should have started a new thread on this.....

I personally don't care how many different people want to start a thread on the same general topic, if their intention is not to simply spam the main page. I don't see any other Lucic-related thread title and therefore I was drawn to this one. Just saying.

Well think about this, too. Gaustad, Boyes, and Hecht are all UFA and that's 9.825 mil freed up at just the time guys like Kassian, Foligno, and Szczechura, Tropp, who else.... are ready, all being paid less than a mil apiece or maybe re-signed at 1.5 or so in Kassian's case...so you go and also free up a possible 8 more million by losing Roy and Stafford, and we instantly have enough for an elite Center for Vanek and Pominville. Again. And maybe with Darcy and Lindy NOT here by then, maybe we can actually target and acquire said Centerman and not ruin his career by signing him.

Who's talking about retribution? I'm merely saying that the next game, the Sabres might all develop butterfingers and keep "losing" the puck to Lucic, all game long, so that he can feasibly be hit 40-50 times in the game. A couple of those, if timed just right, could really be film-worthy. Oh first you call up Kassian and Tropp for the game. Lucic will never go near the boards again for at least a month.

Now THERE's an idea: Suspend the entire Sabres team for being too wimpy for words. Gotta be bad for the sport, right? I don't want Lucic suspended. I want every Sabre next game to pummel him repeatedly into the boards until he can't stand up anymore. I don't care if we lose the game 23-0. So long as Lucic is a walking bone bruise.

But not the post I just made, then. Awesome :)
