I'm not advocating for Hartley or really anyone right now. Just hearing his name bandied about because of the performance of Latvia so far in the Worlds. As for Babcock. He just showed up on set one day. Last I heard he was being shunned in league circles and shut out of the coaching searches.

Craig Ramsay is coaching Slovakia in the Worlds!? Cool. Man, what a grinder he was.

I find it interesting that Mike Babcock is back working on the NHL broadcasts and not exiled to western Canada or where ever he was coaching in some league thats not the NHL. Everyone seems to get a second chance in the league if they want it. Will he be hired in the NHL again soon?

If I'm the losing team in the playoffs I'm pretty much committing a penalty almost every play until they call me for it. Playoff hockey, why not?

I know. They have to do the work. I think, because of the expansion draft and cap implications, that this off season will present unique opportunities to acquire players that might not shake loose normally. I don't know that to be true but it's being reported on more and more so it appears likely. Now. Can Karamanos and Adams get some of those guys? Idk? If they do, and fix the goaltending and get continued progression from their younger players, then I could see the Sabres pushing into the playoff discussion. That's alot of IFs and wishful thinking at this point but that's all I have right now. It's gonna be a long offseason.
