I think it's hilarious you're willing to go to the wall with this notion, citing housekeeping expenses. 😂
But hey, it's the offseason. What else are we going to panic about? I mean it's been 5 days since Skinner was bought out. The fact we haven't spent that cap savings already is all the proof you need, right?
I hate to stick a pin in your "Terry is cheap" fantasies but Pegula owns the Marriott Hotel at Harborcenter. That's where the players stay. It doesn't cost him more to house more players.
Question: Do the Sabres have prospects other teams covet?
If they do then eventually a team will make a serious offer. Right now I think teams are testing how desperate Adams is.
This isn't entirely true. There are no Saturday/Sunday game weekends. But there are four Friday/Sunday weekends.11/1-3, 11/29-12/1, 12/20-22 and 12/27-29.
You act like certain players mean certain results. Things change, players can change, nothing is written in stone. Do you watch any other hockey besides the Sabres? Have you seen players suddenly get it? Teams coming together at the right time? That's sports. It's not a video game with player scores that never change.
I just got to a point where making myself miserable over teams felt pointless.
We have 2 top defensemen in Dahlin and Power. We have UPL and Levi in goal. We have Thompson, Tuch, Cozens, JJ Peterka, Qunn, Benson and Kulich coming up. Are you saying that's trash?
No. Not just that. The team got to 91 points last year too. I'm saying it was all pointing up until last season. And I pointed out where Adams fell short.
So you're giving me the prospect pool as improvement. But now exclude that point because "he blew it "
The Sabres got to within a point of the playoffs. So the team did improve to that point. (Something else we'll have to exclude for the sake of your argument.) But the team took a step back this year.
You can pin part of that on Kevyn. He failed to add to the team, and then injuries struck and certain players underperformed. He also didn't act sooner with Granato.
