It's meant to pique interest. I doubt they reveal the new scoreboard until the first preseason game.
-
Alex Meruelo is available.

You assume I never go to games. I go to 4-5 a year in Buffalo. I'm fully familiar with the state of KBC. I've never had an issue. My seat isn't broken. My cupholder works. Maybe I should look for some cracks in the floor, like John Vogl with the Athletic did? I get it. It's not a shiny new building. But I think this whole thing is just a proxy rant over the playoff drought. Something else to complain about.
-
Can you imagine trying to get NBA free agents to come to Buffalo? It does with that attitude.
-
GOD NO!!!!!
-
And yet we were all saying the Sabres should trade for him.
-
He had faith UPL would work out and stuck with him. Any other team's GM and you'd be giving him a tongue bath for it.
-
It "proves" nothing. You might have a #1 but you see a chance to grab a guy who could become a #1 in three years. So you don't draft him because rules? Example: In 2023 the Ducks have John Gibson but draft goalie Damian Clara with the 28th pick of Rd.2. (#60) By the way Clara was the FOURTH goalie taken in Round 2.
-
Where do you come up with these rules? You scout players and pick them where you think you can get them.
-
You're exaggerating. I've been to several NHL arenas. United Center in Chicago, TD Garden Boston, and whatever they call the Panthers arena these days.. They are all nice but KBC isn't that bad in comparison.
-
Your opinion. Absolutely no evidence that was the case. Like I said, It's GM SOP is to draft a goalie almost every year.
-
I wasn't arguing Adams record as a whole. But I am defending his decision to stick with UPL as it was correct. Giving Adams credit of any kind here is verboten, apparently.
-
Who you have apparently declared a bust already. Okay, sure. Carry on. 🙄 (Don't tell anyone but most GMs draft a goalie every year )
-
You're basically arguing fans are dumb when it come to player evaluation, and Adams was right. I know that hurts.,
-
That is a cynical take. A GM has faith in a player and he eventually comes though. You call it a lack of a plan and pure luck. I don't agree. It's more about pushing an agenda.
-
Agree. But I don't like creating another roster hole by making a trade.
-
Larry Quinn built Marine Midland Arena (its original name) as cheaply as possible. A couple extra mil and some forward thinking would have had them make the most of their footprint vertically.
-
He is what we need. Why trade him? Wait a year.
-
Trading for them or signing them, as you can see, is not happening. But we have size now, and we have more in Rochester. Anton Wahlberg is a guy to watch.
-
Because Comrie was supposed to be the 1B and Levi was going to Rochester. Unfortunately Comrie couldn't fill that role adequately. (You'll note that the Sabres are doing the same thing this year with James Reimer.) Oh, nice Jedi move introducing Ullmark into the discussion, as if it has anything to do with this. But since you brought him up, Ullmark won his Vezina, then fell off to the point where he got traded. If Adams had paid a ton to keep him here, I'm sure you'd be critical of that too, overpaying for a middling goalie. Oh, come now.
-
"Hey UPL really came around. Way to pay off Adam's faith in him." "Nah, Adams got lucky."

I'm not saying RJ slipped, just that they really forgot about radio listeners. They called a TV game.
