It's way past midnight for Tokarski and he's reverted back to a pumpkin. Some nice saves but some groaners too. We missed some nice chances but so did the Rangers. At least we never gave up and we made the Rangers work for those 2 points. A win by the Sabres would have gotten them out of last place. Maybe Tuesday. By the way, anyone notice the regulation losing streak the Devils are on?

He got saved by the Bruins being off and his defense. Not saying he won't be good eventually, but he was out of position a lot Friday. First night jitters, overplaying the puck. Maybe it would be good to play him again.

You have an interim coach and a roster of, up till now, underachievers and AHL players. With barely time to get a practice in between games, beating playoffs teams and teams fighting to get in. And you're judging him on his many styles they can play??

I don't get what an interview is going to tell you. How a new coach plans to blow everything up? What system he's going to make them play? Granato is doing more than just winning more games. He's waking up players that have not played to their potential under a parade of former Sabres coaches. Krueger, Housley, Rolston, Bylsma... You have a young team. You need a talent whisperer. That's Granato. Don't overthink it.

I just finished the game. Nice of Tokarski to take the pressure off UPL with his performance tonight. Brutal. We still would have lost 2-1. Bruins are too much for the kids.

I would disagree. Their defense is actually much improved because teams actually have to worry about the Sabres in transition now. Of course Granato is working with a roster of call ups and young players we wanted to get rid of should be taken into account. It's just funny how the standards remain oddly high despite the circumstances. If Boudreau was brought in mid-season I'm sure there would be calls for patience with all kinds of excuses about what he has to work with.

I'm just curious what you were realistically expecting from the Sabres the rest of this season?

This Sabres team has bounced back against the Caps and Pens. If they can beat the Bruins a few times this series, will that be enough to give Meatballs the gig?

I think the Sabres should take their time and interview as many candidates as possible, long enough for Granato to take the Seattle HC job.
