@ThornyI wouldn't call support for Granato near unanimous. A good number wanted a name. Gallant and Boudreau come to mind. Most who were okay with Donny considered him a caretaker until a "real coach" came along. Few saw him as the answer.
If you paid attention to when they cheered it was a very hockey savvy crowd. Also nice not having half Habs fans in the building. It's like you filtered out Chet & Muffy's and left only the true hockey fans.
The funny thing is you can't point at anything they did wrong or badly last night. This was not some flukey one-goal win. It was utter domination of the Stanley Cup runner up from start to finish. Who predicted that?
