I agree. He hasn't done well with the Sabres. But whether it's skill or dumb luck, his other teams are good. I hold out hope for the Sabres.

Bad hires, bad decisions, bad luck, all of which compounds year after year. But unlike other years, I think the Sabres have the pieces to get over the hump. Despite our feelings about Adams, the Sabres have good players. The Amerks have a stocked pipeline. Lindy has to figure out how to get it all to click. Unlike most NHL teams the Sabres are forced to develop their own talent as signing top free agents is difficult with the long drought.

How those teams are run is all conjecture on our part. We have to make sense of the incongruity.

I think it's more the tendency to go ballistic over any little thing, which is an extension of the state is the Sabres. In short, you're overreacting. Which, ironically, also tracks.

Nothing in this lottery was different than any other year EXCEPT they drew the balls live on stage. I don't know what to tell you.

But they did "keep score" in real time. They eliminated teams that weren't in the running and they showed the winning number for any remaining team at the final ball. Yeah, for 1.5 seconds. Enough to trigger people. And it's not just Buffalo falling back two spots. Boston, Philly, Nashville and Seattle all fell back two spots.

You responded to @Mr. Allen 's post suggesting firing their GM helped the Islanders win the lottery. I assumed that you were suggesting keeping Adams somehow led to us not winning. I'm curious, who have you hated that we've drafted the past 5 years? Kulich? Quinn? Benson? Östlund?

I can absolutely see how that affected those bouncing balls.

I thought you were overreacting to something that happens every day. It's the offseason for the Sabres and Bills, so to have Lance cover both teams while a new Sabres beat writer is hired is perfectly normal. I thought maybe you misread the tweet, saying there would be no one covering the Sabres.
