  1. He is not. There is bad blood between Steven and the band. But keyboardist Kevin Hearn sings all of Steven's parts and sounds enough like him to make it all work. Here's the setlist from the show I saw. Barenaked Ladies Concert Setlist at Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion at Meadowbrook, Gilford on July 12, 2025 | setlist.fm https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/barenaked-ladies/2025/bank-of-new-hampshire-pavilion-at-meadowbrook-gilford-nh-335a0079.html
  2. Barenaked Ladies and Sugar Ray also playing there soon. Just saw them in NH. Excellent show.
  3. Leverage to do what? Trade Byram? Play Byram? Sign him again in two years?
  4. You have to explain this to. How is keeping Byram from being offer sheeted and under contract for 2 years, while still being able to trade him a bad thing? Dude, there is nothing I can tell you. You're mind is made up.
  5. $7.3MM cap left with Timmins and Levi to go. You think we're signing both for $2.3MM?
  6. Wow. How pissed would you have been if Byram got poached for picks? I was about to say that this does not preclude a trade from happening.
  7. 15 minutes ago: Byram doesn't want to be in Buffalo. Now: Byram doesn't want to be in Buffalo in two years.
  8. Could be. I never paid close enough attention. But I do enjoy going to these games. Too bad the Bills open at home the weekend before. Otherwise I'd be there.
  9. This is the usual group that comes to Buffalo. But it's also hard to create an even schedule with 5 teams playing 3 games each. If they played 4 games then it works.
  10. Tickets are $12 at https://www.universe.com/users/lecom-harborcenter-CWB0Y3 2025 Prospects Challenge schedule Sept. 11 New Jersey vs. Columbus, 7 p.m. Sept. 12 Pittsburgh vs. Boston, 3:30 p.m. New Jersey vs. Buffalo, 7 p.m. Sept. 13 Columbus vs. Buffalo, 7 p.m. Sept. 14 Boston vs. New Jersey, 12 p.m. Columbus vs. Pittsburgh, 3:30 p.m. Sept. 15 Pittsburgh vs. Buffalo, 12 p.m.
  11. Let's break it into three sections... Offense: Same or only slightly worse. The black box is what we get from Josh Norris. If he plays to his potential he fills the hole left by JJ. You hope that Tage and Tuch stay at last year's level. That Quinn, Benson and Kulich take steps. Addition of grit from Doan and Danforth can't hurt. Defense: Good to very good. Kesselring and Timmins are upgrades. If Byram stays we could have a very deep defense. Goaltending: Same, but .... With improved defensive play, Goals allowed should improve. Get UPL to play a controlled game and stop trying too hard. Lyon should see more starts than Reimer. Bottom line: can better defense earn you 5 more wins from last year? You are in the thick of the wild card race.
  12. Could it also mean "we have a PoHo in the building?" As in Lindy, Kevy, or Jarmo in the future?
  13. I listened to that episode today. Just a side note, both Petey and Craig started the show saying they had a bunch of stuff to talk about on the Sabres. They talked about how Petey went to a July 4th party and someone related to Shanny told him this. Then they didn't say anything else. I guess they have trouble remembering what they tease. 🤣
  14. The Bills were rarely a bottom 5 team during their 17 year playoff drought. They were endlessly in the 6-10/7-9/8-8 zone. Not the worst but not good enough. Limbo.
  15. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6480740/2025/07/09/sabres-live-questions-july-2025/ This is the Athletic which means paywall. But it's an excellent and balanced discussion of the state of the Sabres via Q&A with Matthew Fairbairn. PM me if you have trouble reading it.
  16. We need to sign him to a one-day contract and let him take the face off at the home opener. #breakthecurse
  17. NHL schedule release day is July 16.
  18. Dom Hasek isn't walking through that door.
  19. I think JK is steering most of these deals/signings. Lindy has his input as well. There is a marked shift from speed/skill towards toughness/grit.
