The biggest difference I'm seeing now is defense in our end. We don't get bottled up, turning the puck over as much. Our breakouts are much better.

Need 24 points over the next 15 games to reach 82 and a .500 point%. That's an .800 pace. Our preseason over/under on points was 68. I definitely think we beat that. Last year The Sabres earned 37 points in 56 games, a .330 pt%. That would be 54 points in an 82 game schedule.

Sabres are playing at just under .700 in March. If they keep that pace up in April they can hit 80 points. They were at 40 points on February 28th.

But it wouldn't hurt.
