I’m torn, my obvious pro Amerks bias aside, I’m not sure what’s best for the kid or the team. He could certainly use some seasoning in the AHL but he definitely is offensively gifted enough to be in the show. Will be interesting to see how it shakes out.

Right. Because he’s almost our only defense first defenseman that isn’t named Hagg. Losing Borgen and Risto really depleted guys who can play in our own zone. Save the Risto jokes, at least he was big and hit people. Dahlin, Joker, Miller, Bryson, Butcher are all offense first leaving Mark Pysyk as our lone defense first guy that’s currently healthy.

My big thing with him is the glaring mistakes. Stop dancing with the puck at the blue line. Yes his ability to navigate those situations is what makes him good but how many times does the puck gotta end up in his own net before he stops it.
