  1. You are colorful and irreverent. Post away! Thought the same thing. "ASAP" and "soon" are different phrases. I didn't see the game and am only commenting on the language.
  2. Mhhm ...
  3. Bowman, Barasso, Housley, Cyr, Lacombe, Tucker, Andreychuk, Creighton, Puppa .... successive years .... I remember thinking we'd have six cups in ten years.
  4. R.I.P. Those years were my early twenties ... when sports evolved in my heart and mind from the vision of heroes as a youngster to an understanding of human relationships and business as a young man. I think everyone liked Jimmy Roberts, clashes notwithstanding. Cool evening, X ... and great color, PA.
  5. This team goes 52 - 30 playing last year's team. Maybe better.
  6. 1). He's world class, so I'm obviously interested. 2). It'd have to be a "fleece 'em deal", and that ain't happen in'. To Mr Deluca's point, you'd not get a return call. 3). Real value for value would completely alter our rebuild, and therefore set it back. One stud with middling players would remain in Buffalo. Not that you can't build around a stud, but why reset the clock with one who has 7 years in the league? 4). Buffalo has its good players, a few lesser stars, and a stud or two to come. 5). Assemble over a few years, nurture for a few years, enjoy for many years is the path we're on. 6). I love watching the guy in Tampa. GMTM chose a different path. I like it. It's underway.
  7. mmhhmm ... insights
  8. Condone stole one. Wait, wait ... Reinhart IS fine ... I didn't expect to appreciate him in tight ... I like Kane blasting away ... Rick Martin shot first, second, third. This year > last year x 10 Where's Tyler? Franson's a RHS on the power play .... and ... and .... Risto's gonna be a stud, but he's having a rough stretch ... he's not alone. The better the team gets, the more noticeable is Weber.
  9. Hartman and McGuire time.
  10. Derisive cheer
  11. I've watched the Reinhart assist five times. I understand hockey IQ. Does everyone here believe he knew Moulson was there? My God, man. He didn't glance before. He had no corner of his eye angle. Crazy good kids.
  12. 14:43 ... Number one among forwards
  13. Flip side of the coin joy - For two years I cared less about the hockey and more about the outcome (perversely). This year, I'm enjoying the hockey and not yet worrying about the outcome.
  14. It's early, they're 7-0 and we're not, but .... the first ten minutes had a bit of the ol' "we're small and skilled, but these heavier guys have their way with us" feel from years ago, but in reverse ....
  15. "Flynn renewing acquaintances" ... as the radio used to say.
  16. I considered a Housley reply! Awesome ... I sat at a table with Richer, once, for a team / community event. He learned I was from Buffalo, and asked if I was a Sabre fan. I replied, deliberately, "Of course, especially while Phil Housley was there." Richer's eyes grew wide, almost in horror ...
  17. I think you're right. I share the view of several impassioned posters who've insisted Bernie's real, viable, and in it to win. At the same time, I recognize he's extended the debate in a direction he feels is beneficial, win or lose. Good for Bernie.
  18. Fair and well put. I'd order them the same in terms of worry.
  19. We just have our different absurdities. I was pointing out the absurdity of banning one object, and not the other, because "only two" died. Anything more than zero's bad. I have no doubt your humanity says the same to you, by the way. Guns kill, swords kill. Guns are more efficient. They're both inanimate objects designed to kill. How efficient must they be before they receive attention? Absolutely correct. Do you believe Democrats go to extremes on the left during primaries? Would you call HRC's call for free (there's that word, again) college education, discovered after Bernie called for it, going to the extreme to appease the left? Her anti-bank rhetoric (do you think she's unfriendly to banks?)? That's the thing about partisanship. I think it puts blinders on us all.
  20. Awesome film ... Fluoridated water ...
  21. I may be Alex! You are correct, of course. Grateful ... I see the sequester as an acceptable end following cowardly means, as well.
  22. I'll give you calm and knowledgeable and celebrate our 66.6% agreement.
  23. Random thoughts watching HRC on television ... 1). Today's pace, while grueling, is allowing for more thoughtful back and forth than I saw in the first public session. There have been no "what difference does it make" moments. Better for HRC; that wasn't her finest moment. She is measured. 2). The original inquiry was legitimate. It inadvertently uncovered a second legitimate issue (email). You can have political motivation and stumble upon real issues. Almost all committee proceedings are political. I call that an astute grasp of the obvious. 3). Low moments. Security was a subordinate's responsibility. Asking for security was Ambassdor Stevens' responsibility. Admitted it was a terror attack during the first night and told Egypt it wasn't "the video" the following morning. Competence and character. I saw none. 4). High moments. She "wins" every exchange in terms of gravitas, if not content. She's prepared and calm. She's awesomely smart. She looks larger when she doesn't appear condescending than when she deliberately condescends. She learned since her first appearance that the stage and costume are as important as the script (no slight, there). "Let 'em flail away; they brought knives to a gun fight". 5). Congressional inquiries drive me nuts. Lilliputians swarming Gullivers. Both sides ... Ironic result: the politically motivated elevated their opponent. 6). NeoVille. Nothing, even in a winning performance, suggests competence or character that's Presidential. She'd make an awesome, steely, cold, effective, Chief of Staff. That's a tough job and a compliment. She'd sneer at me. 7). Susan Rice should be ashamed. With a close election and important debates days away, she carried water. 8). It's over. HRC wins. The President previewed the DOJ/FBI findings on 60 Minutes ten or so days ago. The findings in any investigation are presented to prosecutors who use judgment. Biden's opening closed, and he walked away. Benghazi testimony is finished and it's yesterday's news with no smoking guns. I was thinking about Biden, today. I can't think of a candidate in either party who I'd expect to be more successful working across the aisle than Joe. Congress loves him. He's a successful club member. Too bad .... Instead, we're looking at a Republican congress that loathes HRC or at Republican candidates running on their plan NOT to compromise. I enjoy gridlock. I'm unique. The rest of you ... Look out unless voters deliver both branches to one party.
  24. Two dead. What's the minimum before we call for object control? I suspect the families, friends and neighbors - hell, the whole community - believe two is too many and something must be done, right? My observation on donations, sans research - the money goes to all, because someone's going to be the winner.
  25. Hank .. Thank you for your service, you beefy bastard. I dig the corn rows. Edit: I confused Hank with Hoss, pre-edit
