I'm encouraged by deeper discussion even if it marginalizes my pro this and anti that posts.

McCarthy: A gift from heaven for HRC. She needs one more. A committee, any committee, attacks it's foes. Congressional committees drive me nuts. Grandstanding gotchas. Yawn. As a citizen, though, we should expect more than "what difference does it make?". As voters, we should know who loosed Susan Rice (the emptiest suit in a town of empty suits). You each can make that choice on your own. The committee did serve one purpose, even if it fails to assign Benghazi blame, an outcome more likely in light of McCarthy's monumental stroll down honesty lane. That is, it surfaced a very real email issue. The DOJ/FBI will decide where that leads. HRC needs one more gift. There may be one super vote that determines the next President. It belongs to the current President.

Building on D4rk's paradigm: https://www.yahoo.com/politics/guns-congress-and-murphys-law-090049362.html

I was recognizing great work! I'll continue the dialogue, but your framing is spectacular. It deserves thoughtfulness in response. One immediate impression is that correspondence with your friend advanced your thoughts from a gun being a despicable tool to the broader problems, themselves. These are two thoughts I've always had. I, however, played ping pong with each idea separately. You synthesized them.

I've wondered that, as well. My thought is that it's the addition of capable players that disperses media attention and not any dimunition of Z's game and value.

To: D4rk - excellent. I have the following to add to improve your post ......

Awesome ... and with NO commentary on Hoss's original post ... I'll ask this: Did you have another "meme" ish thing, a few weeks back, around a similar "so what you're saying, is" concept? Can you post, PM that again, assuming i have the correct poster? Either way, awesome pic/definition.

Dear Europe: Welcome to our game. We hope you learn to love it and buy our product. Today's lesson: How head coaches get fired.

Interesting thought I'll borrow from TBD. The Incognito chop block may not have been a "letter of the rule" call, but it was consistent with how it's called. That is, if you block someone already engaged, you can't hit below the waist (letter) but you'd better not have a parallel or downward trajectory if you hit anywhere NEAR the waist or below (how it's called). No doubt we know and coach this. Brain fart, good call, immaterial to the play and not dangerous, frustration. Your nuance is correct, I think.

My criticism is limited to the lack of discipline and preparation (personal fouls, lining up over center). I don't believe in conspiracies against the Bills. My comment on the overall penalty number applies only to the unwatchable nature of the game. I don't think Rex nor Buffalo are handled differently. I now watch a game, see a play, and hold my reaction until I see the adjudication. I find myself not feeling good or bad about a play UNTIL the teams line up for the next one. Truly, my eyes go to the time/score box on the screen, awaiting the yellow flag indicator. PASS, complete or not, yay or boo, pause pause pause .... YAY!

I just want to see quiet, confident, professionals come to work on Sunday and execute. The talent's there to win often enough to be a playoff team. The most disappointing aspect of today's game was Ryan's press conference. Asked about the out of control play, he said he was proud of his boys for fighting, competing, etc. To me, fighting and competing means making plays and executing even when you're down. It doesn't mean getting flagged, being in the face of opponents, and talking. That kind of fight gets you giggled at. Professional football. It's a job. Prepare and execute. That would be a bully.

I'd yank Hughes ... maybe for a week.

Four for four.

This is the game we worried about during the off season ... great defense with an offense struggling to find any groove whatsoever.
-
OBJ with another spectacular one hander -- out of bounds, but man ....
-
Giants' defense is well prepared for today. Bills' D giving up only 16 when paired with this offense isn't too bad, either. Add: Another last down (3rd or 4th) pass short of the required marker .... this one on 4th and goal.

Anybody other than me think Hughes was going to finish that false start with an after the whistle decapitization / personal foul?

Flag, bad news, flag bad news, flag, good news, flag, good news, flag, bad news, flag, bad news .... I can't imagine what Londoners thought this morning other than "what's all the fuss about the NFL?".
