He still put himself out of position way too much - mostly overplaying the initial save. The major differences were some puck luck and that the team in front of him, finally, had him covered. Not saying he hasn't improved, but he looked like a controlled disaster out there with support as opposed to simply a disaster with no support. Maybe the most raw Dom-esque game style we've seen from a big goalie. And I'm not comparing him to Dom in a broad sense, just the flip-flopping chaotic style he seemed to have adopted yesterday. If he keeps it up and it works, maybe we could compare him a little bit to Dom but that's a long way off.

We have a goalie and coaching problem. Effectively the same issues exist from last season. Why do we have a goalie in the rotation who sucks at break-aways when the team is prone to defensive breakdowns that allow break-aways? -
And now the end of the world is nigh.

It's a crazy scheme that just might work: TAKE OVER THE AIRWAVES! The audacious act of having wall-to-wall hockey on a Tuesday night on every TV channel they can muster will make for a media marketing blitz that will be the envy of executive suites the world over! Bettamn isn't just a marketing genius - he's insane! -
I made some a couple of months ago and made sure the pan had plenty of sauce and that seemed to work as well. I don't make them often enough; they are deceptively simple and ultimately the kind of dish that requires practice to get just right.

My grandmother made a much tangier, acidic sauce not unlike a can of stewed or diced tomatoes flavored a little and cooked for a while to render it into a sauce. She also flavored the filler, but I think it was simply with salt and pepper and may have browned the meat over a high heat to bring out its flavor. And your complaint of the softness is spot on. Again, my grandmother's were tender. I think the Nook did a fine job with that but they have that tomato soup-esque sauce which nearly wrecks it. Sto Lat has the texture wrong (too firm) but their sauce is good.

Which coach's tuchus is toastier, Granato's or McDermott's?
... replied to PASabreFan's topic in The Aud Club
I think McDermott's leash is a lot longer right now than Meatball's because he at least has a record of some success. Also, the Bills are banged up and not very deep, the latter of which is not McDermott's responsibiity. Meatballs needs to prove he has the team's attention and can manage a game competently. I am not seeing evidence of either this season. -
Either we have a bunch of lazy players who can not for the life of them comprehend simple instructions to keep the game simple and go to the net or we have a coaching staff who despite the mythology built up around their capability can not for the life of them get through to the players. I am being to agree with @SDS in his assessment of #19. That kid really seems to bring nothing to each game.

Recently been to Sto Lat and The Polish Nook looking to find a good Polish place. Each place has their redeeming value: Sto Lat having more flavor overall while the Nook by far is bang-for-the-buck. Nothing tops my babcia's cooking back in the day. As it happens her gołąbki remains unsurpassed. Been a while since I've been to the Polish Villa and there's Gadawski's in the Falls I have yet to visit. There's Pott's Deli in Cheektovegas that I have never been to but their sauce for their gołąbki looks too much like the Nook's (and which I don't care for). The restaurants tend to make the filling bland. I would be interested to read @Wyldnwoody44 describe the gołąbki he had in Poland.

MSG's Sabre Games: No Cable Needed Next Season
... replied to That Aud Smell's topic in The Aud Club
You would think, but the processing power and networking hardware are generally lacking compared to a laptop or proper mini computer. Depending on your circumstances, you may not notice, but it does contribute to stream acquisition and stability not to mention the user experience. Those using VPNs, a bunch of sites and/or Kodi for their content, or whose WIFI isn't great will especially benefit from the better processing power and network hardware. -

I did not get the sense the JJP line was a lesser line than the other two offensive lines. They were equally as dangerous. -

Now it's time for Mexican BBQ! Not just Levi, but the entire teams is probably breathing a sigh of relief. -

I'd rather they not take the time for the review. It took so long they sucked the life out of the building. -

Yeah, this is the kind of game I wish I were at. Win or lose, it's olde skool entertaining. Have to give Comrie a lot of credit, he looks as solid as he did during preseason. Liking the rest of the team's jam; hopefully this knocks off the rust from the off-season. -

I'm liking the new look of the team. Can they bring this game against league leaders who aren't playing the second game of a back to back? -

I love how Comrie held the puck behind the net instead of panicking. -
I see Dino mentioned a lot in this thread. Don't know why but then again Tim Horton's is popular around here for some reason.

I have no problem with those lines. JJP isn't being demoted so much as it looks like Meatballs is trying to spread scoring potential across all three lines. Unless you think DG is a fool and really believes JJP ought to be demoted. I think Donnie is trying to extend the philosophy behind the 1-3-1 system to where there are no top lines just 3 offensive lines plus 1 shutdown. We've seen that before although not from Meatballs. -

At least that conversation will be with someone who knows what good BBQ is.
