The UPL we've seen the past several games is fundamentally the same UPL we saw late last season with minor personal improvement. The major improvement has come from the team in front of him. The person you are referring to above might very well be Comrie, if only he could stay healthy.

I think the obvious improvement in UPL's goaltending is the support from the rest of the team. UPL still overplays the first save, loses track of the puck, and can't pivot or move quickly or fluidly. The important thing is that the team in front of him recognizes this and is doing something about it - which should bode well for Levi.

Biro is a point machine! UPL is again controlled chaos with exemplary support from his team. Mitts is the new Mitts. Krebs is the old Mitts who takes way more dumb penalties. That first period the team was a wall on the blue line. After that whatever they were doing fell apart. Good to see Tommy Dangles has his dangle back. Good team victory. Lots of sacrifices, no stupid cute plays.

Well, that didn't take long.

Just had Jay's pizza. Three of them to be exact: a Neapolitan cheese and pepperoni, their 'Nduja, and the Detroit cheese and pepperoni. I'm really disappointed because the two Neapolitans don't match the hype and the Detroit is criminally small. For $60 I could have got 2x more pizza that is more tasty and/or more interesting. This is not to say they were bad or poorly executed pizzas. They're okay. The Detroit, actually, is quite good but waaaaaaayyy overpriced for what you get. The Neapolitan crust is a let down, especially considering the narrative behind it. The physical aspects of it are fine: fluffy, not thick and not thin, chars okay - but it lacks character, has no flavor and is too chewy. For the price and hype it is totally a let down. They upcharge for the 'Nduja but barely provide any meat; a very cheap presentation here masquerading as a culinary artistic dollup. If you like overpaying for small artisan pizzas that are marginally interesting then Jay's is worth the try. If you can wait until the hype train passes by and the prices come down to Earth then I recommend waiting until then. And whichever organization ranked them eighth or 13th in the USA, you can take their rankings and toss them in the big pile of worthless reviews and lists.

The entire Dadonov thing is ridiculous. If Cap Friendly has NMC details for individual players surely Vegas has to share some negligence somehow in that trade.

They sent Cooley back I believe, so that leaves us Levi and UPL. Clearly, UPL has to start. I think this is a real, early-season test for the boys. This game means something: .500 after 10, which would be an acceptable place to be. Equally important is that if they can take the last game and apply their play in it to this game. If so, their trajectory will be acceptable, too.
