  1. It's uncanny how it seems he can steer the team; first he got the defense turned around, and now he has then scoring when they weren't.
  2. If they can find the defensive game they had a few weeks after Nolan was installed, they'd definitely upset Tank Nation.
  3. Nationwide Arena looks like it can hold a lot of folk. And Ott is hot!
  4. The Hoff with a shortie! Pull the goalie, put in Enroth!
  5. We don't need no stinkin' puck possession.
  6. I bet it gets changed to Konapka or whatever his name is.
  7. At least Hodgson and Moulson are on different lines; spreads the turn overs out a little. Pull the goalie!
  8. I don't think Enroth is in a very happy mental space right now and it is affecting his game. I think Enroth is as frustrated as anyone with the team. Let's see what he's like in Sochi. He is a quirky fellow, and still immature as a team-player goes. His recent comments suggest he does not feel any solidarity with the roster, which, is not a good thing for any goalie, IMHO. I am beginning to lean toward the idea that Miller will be traded and Enroth will be the starter next season, unless his Olympic/post-Olympic play raises his value and he is part of a package deal.
  9. Goodness, we're about to go through goalie-hell, too, on top of everything else.
  10. Moulson is a turnover machine tonight.
  11. Can Hodgson just go to the bench when he has to back check? Send someone out there to finish his shift in his zone?
  12. I wish the Sabres had a player with 22 goals. Yeesh.
  13. OMG. After being hemmed in their own zone, what a lucky break.
  14. Moulson, CARRY THE PUCK, you twit. Church.
  15. “My mandate here is to get better...” See, I thought his mandate was to win Buffalo a Cup or two. I'm confused.
  16. I think, perhaps, the Miller "situation" will be dictated, in part, by what happens in Sochi. If Miller wins a gold, not only does his value go up, but he also wins a championship. Maybe for Miller, a gold in the Olympics would be enough for him to stick around Buffalo and shoot for a Cup with the team he is loyal to. He also earns a nice contract. If he doesn't win a gold, then he may want to wind up on a contender and get his championship that way. He may be willing to accept less of a contract to ensure he gets placed on a contending team.
  17. The one thing I don't like, although I understand the position he's in, is that it sounds to me like he doesn't have any of the guys on the roster, or even in the system, pegged as a new core. We've all thrown around names by now, but I have my idea of who should be essentially un-movable. As a fan, there are players I've grown to like. Although I want to win a Cup, I would like to "know" the roster that wins it for us. There's nothing saying that won't be the case at the time, but right now I get the impression that Murray would like to completely strip down the team and rebuild from scratch.
  18. This guy, Trevor Noah, is funny as hell: It may be NSFW.
  19. I think even the speculative posts should just forget about including the likes of Grigs and Zadorov. I don't think the Sabres are going to give up the young'ns any time soon.
