With the depth of the hole they're in, I can't see how they'll be appreciably better next season. With TN being a shell of his former self, the culture seemingly unchanged, and GMTM picking prospect types, where does anyone expect them to be this time next year? That said, OMG, I thought we've suffered bad seasons, but this...this kind of season I can't hack again as a fan.

The Sabrez wouldn't look so bad if Ehrhoff played with some focus and passion. He looks brain dead out there. Oh, before the internetz jumps in and blows my statement out of proportionz, I'm talking only degrees of "so bad"...I'm in no way suggesting they'd be a wildcard contender if Ehrhoff, alone, were playing like he's capable of.

I don't like saying this, but Ehrhoff needs to be moved just on principle alone. You can't mail in a season like he has with all of the youth this team is expected to have.

FWIW, Murray, in the media, has been talking about dumping a lot of guys from this roster. It's a top down thing; the GM is telling you the current roster isn't worth keeping around - imagine if your boss was saying his staff is going to be turned around, how would the staff be collectively? Ideally, we'd like to think every person will respond with their best effort to try and keep their job, but realistically many people will not respond well to the pressure of a dark cloud hanging over them.

I read these arguments and it's like a bunch of BS. Are they not going to select "the best player" no matter where they sit in the draft? Of course they are, but the problem is the position in the draft. And why is the position an issue? Because if the position isn't "good enough" then neither are the players available. So it is ALL about who they select in the draft and in this particular draft it's all about McDavid. Deny it all you want, but there are two seasons worth of archived posts on the matter the majority of which advocate tanking in order to get the best chance at McDavid; you're lying if you don't admit it.
