  1. Why are you referring to yourself in the third person?
  2. Where's @nfreeman with a "this isn't necessary" response. Dude, do you seriously think you can cast the first stone? I recommend some rigorous meditation and self reflection.
  3. Yeah, not a fan 'cause he ain't on our team, but, he does play with an enviable level of grime and compete.
  4. I've been saying this for a while. The guy is gray matter challenged and is out of his depth. I get where @LGR4GM is coming from. The Sabres have lost that "oh, shucks, they're good guys trying to do the right thing" charm long ago. They wrecked the team, at least they can start trying to earn back the goodwill of the fans by not BS'ing us and taking ownership of their decisions no matter how they think it looks. Tired of Adams shallow approach to executive "leadership".
  5. Agreed. Lindy said so much himself as well as musing over how he's a better coach. I'm sure he considers himself a better coach because he believes he's figured out how to NOT traumatize his players.
  6. At this point they are best to be considered as add-ons to a trade or trades that make the NHL roster better.
  7. A. Mostly accurate. However, Peters understanding of coaches contracts or lack thereof really has little to do with the content of the past two episodes on coaches and, specifically, Lindy. B. Accurate. C. The texts from the players is a small part of the last show and there is no way I would characterize the little that Peters shared of those texts as the "theme" suggested here. If memory serves "playing it safe", "living in the past", and "generally continuing to not function like a normal NHL team" aren't even paraphrases of the content. Maybe I heard it all wrong, though.
  8. Essential listening. Two former Lindy players talk uncensored about what having Lindy back could mean.
  9. I'm not going to stay up for it, but the third in the Avs/Jets game is likely to be good. The second period had some of the pace of the first game and now the Jets are down by two.
  10. The goaltending in this Florida series is sick.
  11. That second pair needs a testosterone injection. The third pair won't make it 10 games without an injury that keeps one of them out (Muel) for 10 weeks.
  12. Panthers looking good. They have the Lightning all discombobulated.
  13. I don't think that's a bad thing. The whirlwind energy we saw back in the day was probably double that behind the scenes, leading to rash actions and premature, emotional decisions. A wiser, calculating, thoughtful Ruff is probably a better Ruff. The passion is still there, but as an old guy it really will only come out when necessary.
  14. Of course, Power should not be here to be challenged (he is the trade centerpiece to upgrade the forward group). If he is, though, I, too, will be interested to see the result - it may be Power's only hope.
  15. Now, you kids better cover your man and raise your compete or I'm going to bore you with my stories of the old days.
  16. It sounded to me like Lindy implied that Adams was in contact with him not long after Lindy was fired, caught the potential error and corrected it by adding something like "and after losing their (the Sabres') head coach...".
  17. Did the conversation go anything like below?
  18. 11 years later, the story is more exciting if he quit. Charlie and Grandpa Joe getting the factory because of their honesty makes a better movie than Charlie winning simply because he was able to survive.
