  1. Compared to some of the other deals being done - not too bad of an overpayment.
  2. I'm hearing a 1 year deal for whatever money is left after all the signings to reach the cap.
  3. Surprised Miller got that much per year. Good thing Miller didn't want to be traded to a Canadian team.
  4. For a lower level 2nd rounder in '16 draft? Why not.
  5. Righto. The people who plan to stick around tend to change their avatar pretty early after joining. The 1 & 2 post posters will never change it anyway. I guess though you can make it a Bills logo so all the TBD posters feel more welcome to stop by. :)
  6. Probably both - chance to win next season and then chance to cash in (again) the following.
  7. You can double down on the squash - find a good pumpkin sauce to replace the tomato sauce.
  8. This thread is purely about the waiver process - just needs a more specific thread title.
  9. If he signs with the Sabres now it will be a 2 year deal for $20 mil.
  10. That should be a separate topic :) What is the penalty by the way? Knowing the league they would change the rules and make the Sabres forfeit their first round draft pick in 2015.
  11. I guess Murray has bought into the Sabres can only have bad luck belief so he had to believe Ehrhoff would retire that one specific year that would hurt the Sabres the most if he traded him.
  12. It's only if he retires in 2020 and if he was traded prior to then. Or something like that.
  13. I don't like your tone - I might have to go post in the other thread instead. ;) By 2020 the cap will probably be 100 mil and there is only one possible way the cap recapture really comes into play then anyway so it isn't worth thinking about. When does this current CBA expire?
  14. I guess the cap recapture did have some negative affect. http://www.cbc.ca/sports-content/hockey/opinion/2014/03/30-thoughts-changing-odds-in-nhl-draft-lottery.html "10. Asked about other teams being interested in Tyler Myers, Murray said there was no offer remotely close enough to make him consider dealing either Myers or Christian Ehrhoff. The GM added the "cap recapture" possibilities at the end of Ehrhoff's contract (eg., a $10-million penalty if he retires with one year remaining) are a concern and affect trade scenarios."
  15. I'm fine with that - but don't worry about 2020 - trade him.
  16. It does clean the future books to get all these future top picks resigned, I guess.
  17. I don't know which to post in - which is the more detailed title?
  18. The Kings had 5 of the last 61 picks. Talk about the rich getting richer.
  19. Committed to Brown - so maybe drafting for a future Assistant GM.
  20. Does he have the shopping IQ to shop at Wegmans? He probably shops at Tops.
  21. Remind me in 5 years to see how he is progressing.
  22. Hey look - Florida doesn't have any goalie prospects - maybe they want Hackett? :)
