  1. Per the bold, with Gionta and Gorges, definitely. With Kane and Bogo? I doubt it. They were poison to the young guys.
  2. What was Jack’s arrival in Buffalo like as an 18 year old draft pick vs. a 25 year old All Star C in Las Vegas?
  3. Now that you’ve explained the context, i think it’s actually kind of clever and funny. If Levi keeps it up, he will become a first round pick before we know it. Perhaps even first overall.
  4. I submit that what TM did before and after the 2015 draft did more to set us back than not getting the best player since Crosby.
  5. Tage is much stronger both on his skates and in his upper body than he was previously.
  6. That is also my recollection. I also seem to recall him mentioning how some players mistreated people in the building at times, how that is indicative of a person’s character, and that Adams had several years to observe that in his time there. It all kind of mirrors the gossip we’ve heard around town for several years now as well.
  7. I don’t remember off hand. It was one he did with his brother early summer. I’ll see if I can dig it up. Gionta didn’t name names, but it was clear he had issues with several players and didn’t like that the young players rejected his leadership and gravitated towards Kane and Bogo instead.
  8. I’d say we didn’t learn anything many people didn’t already know or at least strongly suspect. Gionta’s comments from a podcast in the summer were more illuminating, imo, and Peters and Rivet just confirmed what he said a few months prior. I mean Gionta was in that room, as captain, for two years with that core. I can’t think of anyone in a better position to know certain things.
  9. We are in this game boys!
  10. Also at the beginning of the day and the middle of the day.
  11. Thompson is good. There, I said it.
  12. You can't stop Cody Eakin; you can only hope to contain him.
  13. Christmas Pannies. A tradition imported from Sweden. Thanks @MODO Hockey!
  14. We are STHers and haven’t heard about this. How do we get it?
  15. No worries. I appreciate the give and take. It’s all good. 🍺
  16. Well, I’m sure I’d be in some damn good company!
  17. I can be persuaded to change my mind on any number of things but in this case you’re right, there is no way I’m gonna change my view on Friedman as it relates to his reporting on the Eichel saga in general and his piece with Prusmack in particular. That was done for no other reason than to respond to KA’s assertion that the Sabres were “in control.” It had been over two months since the snafu between Eichel and the team came to light and the timing of it all, directly on the heels of KA’s statement and Fish’s response to it, is just too convenient to be a coincidence. But you know, perhaps I’m being too hard on Friedman for holding him to higher journalistic standards. He’s really nothing more than a hockey gossip columnist, so perhaps those standards don’t apply to the same degree.
  18. Yes, it would be great if Dahlin and all the rest of the players had great players around them. A team full of great players would sure be great, no doubt. But my question from last night remains: how do we explain the numerous unforced errors by Dahlin himself? Plays that none of his lesser teammates had any hand in him making?
  19. Gionta said the same thing on a podcast in the summer, but he didn’t name names.
  20. This team finds new ways every night it seems. We are on to Washington.
  21. Dahlin embarrassed yet again.
