That’s entirely on the Sabres to correct. We’ve been season ticket holders for decades and while we give the tickets to relatives and friends rather than sell them, I resolved not to attend another game in person when they lost 3-0 to Philly at home back in January. And I won’t until I’m convinced they have re-earned my in person patronage. They are one of the worst home teams in the league. And that’s just not our fault as fans. I can’t blame my fellow ticket holders for selling them and recouping some of the cost. I see many Boston fans sitting in seats surrounding ours where normally people we’ve known for years would be sitting. When the Sabres are back, the fans will be as well. In the meantime, letters from Dahlin just aren’t gonna cut it.

Check the numbers. Not revisionist in the least. Lehner also put up better numbers on poor teams. What’s hilarious is your hyperbole about what we all ever talked about. UPL is not good enough currently. As is the rest of the team. It’s that simple.

While Boston provides a superior surrounding cast, let’s not lose sight of the fact that Ullmark is also a superior goalie and has been for years. He put up respectable numbers on some worse Sabres teams.

I put the Philly goal on a lazy clearing attempt by Girgs. He had time but instead rushed the play and tried the usual clear around the glass which was easily kept in by the Philly point man and they scored on the ensuing sequence. Girgs could have just waited a second to see nobody was pressuring him and cleared down the middle of the ice. Poise is important.

I honestly don’t know the AHL playoff eligibility rules. Good idea to let him get some practice with the team. Let him see some TNT one timers. That’ll get him acclimated.

From what I’ve seen since we acquired him, the best thing I can say about Greenway is that he is not VO. He looks like an ordinary “meh” jag.

Agree entirely that it was nice to see that kind of secondary scoring, but while the top line may not have scored, they were far from totally shot down. Quite the opposite in fact; they were dominant at times.

UPL might actually be worse than Lehner. Up two with four to play and they lose. They don’t deserve the playoffs.
