I honestly can’t believe I didn’t remember this thread until just now. Ironically enough, I revived a dying bat tonight. I’m totally serious. When I showed up at my buddies house to watch the game (I’m in NJ and don’t have cable), he was at the door and there was a bat on the sidewalk. It was flying around in his house and he had just stunned it trying to get it out. Three hours later as I was leaving, it was still there and not doing well. I asked him for a box or something and I would take it,... “meh, somethin’ll get it.” I walk to my truck and turn the key,... then turn it off. Screw that. I’m either going to end him quick or try to help him. So I got a plastic cup and a shovel, collect the bat and head home. I held the cup to the heater the whole way home (only about 10 minutes.) Nothin’. Leave the truck running with the warm air blowing on him for another 10 minutes in the driveway. Nothin’. And then he starts scratching at the cup. I get out of the truck and fling the cup in the air. Away he flew. I’ve done my part.

That wouldn’t elicit a response from his agent.

Just use bandy nets.

Hockey Inexplicable — plays that drive you batty

It depends. A lot of times. the play is to tie them up so that your teammate can get the puck. Good post. Totally agree. Absolutely (Jack). Or even worse, not passing to the teammate already at the blue line with speed, causing him to either have to stop or go offside (again, Jack). I've been thinking this same thing. They work so hard to get the puck, then just waste the possession. -
Do you watch other games besides the Sabres? I have watched some really good games this year. They had fights, big hits, lots of scoring, and good competition. Unfortunately, none of them were Sabres games.

But now dump a bag of potato chips and some leaves on the green and try to make those putts. If I (not a pro golfer) makes 9 out of ten because of some whacky redirections due to a curl in a leaf or an extra crunchy chip, then yes, I would say I was lucky.

Ftr, I didn’t need the numbers to know we lead the league. and I bet you could get that Gatorade data.

GDT 2/25/21: 7pm ET, NJ Devils @ Sabres, local TV and Radio

Small correction. The last meeting was Feb 23. Sabres won 4-1. I have to believe that one of our “top” players is going to score and the Sabres take it. -
There are 6 other teams?

The Habs got robbed on a ridiculous Goalie interference call with 2.1 secs left. They then went on to lose in the SO. I guess the league wants to keep the Sens relevant a little longer.😂

None. Four days ago we were wondering if they were ever going to score again. Now we're upset they didn't get the shutout? When are we actually allowed to be happy, if ever. Way worse.

Eye on the C — shift by shift breakdown of Eichel's game on Long Island

He did it against Nashville. -
I kinda thought they looked better the last two games. I think they win tonight.

That's from last night.

And what’s the deal with white and black houses? It’s like the Matrix isn’t even trying anymore.

Recreational marijuana is now legal in New Jersey. Not sure if that means it is now going to be easier or harder to get. Also not sure if that means it is going to be less or more expensive now.

Good game against a good team. No Risto or McCabe hurt. Jack is broken. It needs to be addressed. He better be injured, because if he's not, I'd assume he's using.
-
That sucks.
-
Wait. That’s why people are saying he’ll be in the press box? Because of the order Harrington put the practice lines in a tweet? 2 for Jeff tonight.
-
Wuh? Dumb.
-
2 for Skinner tonight. 1 for Dahlin. The narrative of him being held back will (begin to) die. Hall finally finds some chemistry.
-
Forget it. He's rollin'.
-
I was thinking the same thing. I thought he looked really good last games. He is really skilled.

I prefer our team to that pairing,... by a lot.
