I always find it hilarious when people are surprised or complain when they don’t get what they didn’t pay for. It is ridiculously easy to watch the NHL and has been for 15+ years. I live in the NYC area and haven’t missed a game in 20 years. When i don’t get the games i don’t pay for, i go to my buddy’s house who does.

And Gio can flap all he wants to in the podcast, but where was his veteran leadership to mentor this kid? Thought it was funny. The whole “like a grownup” comment from you made me laugh, as well, considering he isn’t, unlike most of the people booing him and mad today. I really can’t wait for the day until we care more about the players on our own team.

Yet all these folk are up in arms that its always all about Jack, with Jack. He was right, it took him leaving for all them to get fired up about something. I didn’t give one lick about Eichel last night. It was a good game because it was a good game. I just find all the faux outrage hilarious. They got exactly what they wanted from his comments.

What’s empathy got to do with it? Eichel can pound sand. He ain’t a Sabre anymore. I just dont care about his comments after the game. At all. This is bread and circuses until we actually do GAF about the season and playoffs. I’m sick of watching garbage. I thought it was a really fun, great game to watch, but because it just was. None of it had to do with Eichel.

To a point. But there absolutely was a little extra juice in the building last night. And it certainly wasn’t because of our current team (as much as we might like them or have some hope about them) or playoff standings. It was for an ex-player that they wanted to hate on.
