There's 3 back to back home games in the new schedule. I imagine there's a few away also. So definitely more. The old schedule had games almost every Tues, Thurs, Sat because Black asked for less back to back and thus eliminating most Friday night games.

Looks like last home game is April 26th.

That's a lot of back to back games (10). Sabres only had 4 back to backs on the original full season schedule from Jan 19th to the end of the season.

Camp ends Friday. Season starts Saturday, though we don't play until Sunday 12:30.

According to multiple sources, training camp will open on Monday. Team physicals and some on ice testing will occur over the weekend. Camp is open to the public, at least on Monday. and there it is... http://sabres.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=649846

Big trivia question here: You trade a player and retain, say, 40% of a 4 million salary ($1.6 million). Come this summer or next, for whatever reason, the new team buys out the contract. Is the previous team responsible for 40% of the buy out?

As in Sabres trade player X and keep half the cap hit and then later with a different trade of player y the other team takes player x's retained cap hit? Haven't seen that. Would be too close to paying cash IMO. I also think that if player x gets traded and the new team trades him again, his contract could be split up again with the third team. But the first team would still be on the hook for the first trade cap hit/salary. Kinda like re-entry waivers.

They were doing drills. It was Enroth's turn to take some pucks. They pushed pretty hard today IMO. Nice of them to stick around and give some autographs after too. Must have been 2 or 300 people there. Absolutely packed.
