  1. My memory is fuzzy on this one but: Wasn't there a Calgary Buffalo game in the LaFontaine years where Pat got injured against the Flames and the 2nd time they played there were an insane amount of fights and PIM's?
  2. I always say this about anywhere you live: Its only the armpit of America if you don't use the right deorodent
  3. Was thinking maybe there was a goalie out there that a team would like to move for salary cap relief that has say a year left that the Sabres can get for a very cheap price, but even looking at that, there isn't much if anything out there that KA can pursue.
  4. Said this 1000 times and will say it 1001: The tank for McDavid/Eichel was absolutely the best move. The steps AFTER the tank is what gave the perception that the tank was wrong.
  5. Well they say in most cases the truth is in the middle so I suppose we will never 100 percent know. All I know is it seems because of a fluky decent start for the Sabres some fans have lost sight of the true cancer. Ownership. They still are a #@#@ stain in my eyes and have MUCH to prove to change that fact.
  6. Would Dahlin be best with Jokiharu?
  7. Dominik Hasek demanded to be traded and wanted to orchestrate the trade to the team he wanted and wanted to ensure the Sabres did NOT get a big return to ensure that the team that Dom was going to was going to be a Cup contender. Eichel wanted to have surgery that has never been performed on a NHL player EVER to ultimately HELP the team he still wanted to leave, to get Buffalo a better return so he can still help he team he wanted to leave. Just marinate on this for a bit.
  8. Sounds about right. Krebs is the entire key to the deal. No way to sugarcoat it.
  9. Dahlin's rookie year the forward crop was much better then now or in the previous two seasons. Are offensive defenseman like Dahlin more co-dependent on having skilled forwards then the other way around? For example if you plop Dahlin on Edmonton now, how many points does Dahlin rack up this year?
  10. If there is one point that should be taken from this trade its this in regards to today's NHL: Cap space IS King.
  11. Greg Wyshynski is and forever will be a smug Sabres hater. I knew him from a Devils board way back before he became big time and he was always salty about Hasek winning Venizas over his boy Brodeur. Always take what he says about Buffalo with a grain of salt and more saltiness from him.
  12. Vegas just makes the most sense for Eichel at this point. LTIR, they can make the playoffs without him and Vegas can 'pull a Kucherov' come playoff time with Jack. Vegas does have some assets that can be intriguing to Buffalo. I am hoping for Tuch/Krebs and a 1st in 2022 as the real prizes of the deal.
  13. 1) Leading scorers - Goals, Assists and Points: Goals: Jeff Skinner (26) Assists: Rasmus Dahlin (38) Points: Casey Mittlestadt (53) 2) Team record 23-53-8 54 points and #32 overall in the NHL 3) Team MVP Casey Mittlestadt 4) Team ROY Mattias Samuelsson 5) First Player traded Will Butcher 6) First player recalled from Rochester JJ Peterka 7) Surprising in season move (trade or acquistion) Sabres trade Olofsson 8.) Best surprise player Casey Mittlestadt 9) Biggest disappointment Dylan Cozens
  14. Jack doing neck rehab while bending his neck different ways as he was chugging beers?
  15. John Rigas might be considered a disgraced owner, but I miss his ownership over the Pegula tire fire by a country mile. RIP John.
  16. The Sabres will not receive what they want until they allow interested teams to see Eichel's medical records. But from the outside, it looks like the Sabres are closely guarding this information because there might be something in there that greatly decreases Jack's value. Nothing will change until that information is made available.
  17. "And welcome to KeyTANK Center in Buffalo, for another night of Buffalo Sabres hockey"
  18. At times I liked their show but they have to change the name of that show now.
  19. Reading your story made me angry inside, and angry against anyone that would look at you that way and also that your wife had to deal with being called a terrorist sympathizer, and the death threats, just made me so sad and angry towards these monsters that you and your family dealt with that. I pray for you and your family that those issues have subsided. Someone like myself who was born and raised in New Jersey, saw the Towers smoke with my own two eyes, and lost a close friend from our town (he was 31 and in the North Tower, Floor 92) and the pain and devastation that followed for me and to a much greater extent, his family and close friends and our town, at that time and now I could never ever dream is mistreating someone just because they 'look like one of the terrorists'. Never. In fact I in many ways ensured I treated people with more respect and care after 911, because everyone of every gender, race, religion needed that at that time, and still does. 20 years later I live in California, and I went to a 911 memorial on Saturday, and when I saw my friends picture, all those memories rush back, all the sadness, disbelief, some anger, confusion. One never gets over something like that, you just learn how to to deal with it better.
  20. Personally I would absolutely love this to be true
  21. Isn't Brisson's son on Vegas? That's it, Eichel is a Golden Knight 😄
