The Sabres, despite injuries and a roster nearly devoid of offensive talent, have somehow hung in there. It would be a shame if Botterill didn't find a way to reward them with a little help and the chance to make a run.
They only need to find one player to give this team a chance and show the players, especially Eichel, that management believes in them. One second line forward would be enough.
I don't think they have to "jeopardize the future" to accomplish that.
If Botterill had the guts he could get ONE second line player to give this team a chance at making a run. They've been up and down, but they're resilient, which is a big improvement from last year. They have managed to put win streaks together.
