  1. It is done. After 15 years as a Nationwide customer it was simply not worth it to continue. I'm getting a better policy through Geico for nearly half the cost.
  2. For once we agree ?
  3. Fortunately there are plenty of places here that should be able to accommodate your wife's diet. I know Marble and Rye specifically is very good about it.
  4. Expect to use Uber or Lyft if you come here, though the "subway" works great if your goal is just to get to Allentown or the Elmwood strip. You could also use it to get you to UB South and then you can Uber around the northtowns if there's something up there you're interested in. I would stay at the Marriott at the Harborcenter. Convenient food options, 716 in the same building (get the pastrami), a nice view if you get a room that looks out on the lake, and the enclosed bridge to the arena is way better than going through normal security.
  5. I ran a quote this morning for it and I'm pretty much decided that I'm going to switch. I just need some more info from them on the details of this "pre-insurance inspection" they need me to do. The backup camera on my car is inoperable but I doubt that'll affect my coverage too much. At any rate my current coverage is unacceptable.
  6. Bumping this thread because Nationwide decided to f*ck me and raise my premium by $300/yr because my 5 year old car no longer qualifies for their "new car discount". I'm paying $150/mo now. GTFO with that. When I was a kid *shakes fist* your rates went DOWN as a car got older, not UP. Thankfully my local Nationwide office closed and they transferred me to their Direct office, so at least I can get those agents on the damn phone. Not that it matters much.
  7. The idea that people are simply "disagreeing" is pretty quaint.
  8. You can't just "move on" from a cancer that is this severe. It's going to take decades of hard work and a complete reboot of American civics. To believe otherwise is to live in denial about the full extent of the problem. Trump is not his own unique person. He's a conduit for millions of people who think the things that he says, and those people are not just going away, especially when they are counted among the most powerful people in the country.
  9. Embrace the chaos
  10. It's kinda great
  11. What in the world
  12. Trump isn't so much destroying the country as he is clumsily exposing every single vile truth of the brain disease that is American Conservatism and the tangled web that connects all of it. Perhaps we should be thanking him for shattering the barriers that kept the quiet parts from being said out loud. The quiet parts are now blasting out at full volume, obvious and unavoidable. Trump leaning into the racism, the fascism, the gas-lighting, the white supremacy, the anti-semitism-- it's weirdly vindicating. Trump isn't destroying America, he is America. At least we don't have to pretend otherwise anymore.
  13. It's not meaningless, it's just the truth. The team needs each line to do its job. I think we can agree that it's been a long time since this team had the total package.
  14. I don't think "scoring on all four lines" means spreading the talent around. I think Botterill just wants his lines to contribute at the level they should be.
  15. I'm assuming the van also pulled a trailer for all their crap lol that's like giving birth to a Cub Scout Den
  16. Figure you gotta put each kid in a car seat and booster seat of some kind until they're like 6 or 7. So a minivan wont even cut it because you'd have to climb into the 3rd row constantly. He's going to have to buy a full size 12 passenger Express van or something so he can get to both rows through one sliding door.
  17. I heard that on my way in to work today. Holy smokes. No one just has quadruplets. Everyone you know also has quadruplets, because you recruit then into your family whether they like it or not lol
  18. I can see it from Risto's perspective. You've been taking a beating for years now. You've had a handful of coaches. Maybe you don't like your teammates too much. You're not excited to come back for another season of the same faces, in the same lockers and the same city. Maybe a good camp would get him back in the right head space. Or maybe camp becomes a pressure cooker and he blows up. Either is possible, and understandable.
  19. I don't think Risto has explicitly asked for a trade. I think he explicitly voiced his displeasure with being on a bad team for so many years and likely offered something along the lines of "I want to play on a better team and I don't care how that happens."
  20. Excuse me, that's the butt of a man who is modestly in shape!
  21. This is why I've said previously that I expect the Sabres would trade Risto for anyone that is an upgrade to their top 6, maybe even top 9. Pretty much any player Risto would bring back will be an upgrade given the current state of things.
  22. I always thought the red eye was added after the inaugural season but I could be wrong on that.
  23. I feel like there's no putting that embroidery back in the box now. It's too good.
