A careful reading of your post could have led to a respectful debate. Hockey is for everyone, but not all hockey games are. Your safety point is one worth thinking about. Unreasonable? Would you let your eight year old (son or daughter) play in a men's adult league? If not why not? Would it detract from the enjoyment? Would it be unsafe? Of course. Now let's put pi (or a pi when he was younger and tearing it up) into a women's adult league. Do his 9 goals in the first period detract from the enjoyment? Is it an issue with the women?

The question wasn't about liking or disliking individual players/people. It was about the team. I find the team to be unlikable. I don't have to like a Sabres team because I'm a fan. As an American I don't have to like a particular Congress or Administration. God willing this team as we know it will be toast by next fall. Many will of course remain. Some of them that have contributed to a poor season will be the same player with different results, like Tage and Rasmus. Others will be the same young players starting to enter their prime, like Cozens and Peterka maybe. In the interest of personally attacking me as a poster and fan, you totally whiffed on the question. And Rasmus was dumb and far too often still is.
