  1. It must be nice to be young.
  2. Too lazy one night, too tired the next? The coach is grasping. Hopefully he has some real insights and answers he's hiding from everyone.
  3. Real battle of wits here.
  4. This is reasonable, but be careful — you'll be tarred a hater or a troll.
  5. You'll never know. I feel bad for you.
  6. It was ugly, I'll tell you that. Is that what corporate America thinks it can do to people? If the kid was mine, I'd probably be in jail right now.
  7. It should bother anyone with a heart. Did you see it? The kid's like 6, waving a program around, having a good time, and some dude in a suit with a bluetooth or whatever walked briskly toward him, the kid ran off, and the thug turned back.
  8. I love the franchise. I'm not obligated to like any of the people who currently inhabit it. Go ask the LGB crowd why they don't move to Canada.
  9. He has to double-, triple- and quadruple-down on the YT drugs he got everyone hooked on before the draft.
  10. It turned out to be the critical play of the game. You have to weigh those more than some nudge in the first period.
  11. Good to see PSE thugs chasing off little guys in the background of the postgame show.
  12. It's not hatred. It's a refusal to depict Dahlin as something he's not (yet). We're so desperate to put a label on someone as great or elite or generational or whatever. That's the true derangement.
  13. Of course there was a battle.
  14. No. What's there to like? If the players down through the years had a fraction of Rick's passion, talent work ethic and most of all consistency, we'd need a new roof on the arena to accommodate the banners.
  15. So what? He lost the battle.
  16. Not interference. Two guys come together near a loose puck. Dahlin, not shockingly, lost the battle. Then he got high stuck.
  17. It's the NHL regular season. Anything can happen, especially Sabres wins.
  18. Punch is wise and more metaphorical than I recall.
  19. It's a hockey game. Relax. I go back to something Mike Schopp said when fans were cheering against the Sabres in the tank year. Some called the fans' behavior "classless." Mike said, "Classy? It's a hockey game!" But I'm glad you've picked up LTS' mantle of positivity. Like I often told him, "You first."
  20. That makes sense. He's Ron Rolston with a longer leash. Ron, RaKru, Donny, they all were/are smart and know the right buzzwords and are "good with the kids," but at some point on a real NHL team the players see the empty suit, and it has to be a terrible feeling. No emotion when getting jobbed by Toronto + "work ethic" has soured me.
  21. Are you the last person to realize why that is? I thought everyone knew by now.
  22. Granato's a fairly new suspect. I think the shine is coming off. Work ethic is the weakest of sauces that should be reserved for fans and media. It's shocking to hear an NHL coach in 2022 playing that card.
  23. A very close second to the Pegulas' continuing ownership of the team on the list of most galling things about Sabres Hockey is the sound of Brian Duff giggling after a loss.
  24. At least Toronto tried.
