It's the flak you get here for taking sensible positions in the questioning of "happy days are here again, the Cups are nigh." Some of us challenge for a particular reason. Not to be negative but to see if the optimism passes the smell test. There are good hockey people here. To be honest the responses to my questioning for the most part make me think, hey, maybe we got something here. That's the value of it.

Do we need a separate board for talk about the actual team? This has been bugging me for awhile. We just had a new thread yesterday (I think) about projecting out the prospect forwards. Why? The season is almost here. Is there no present? Only the future? Prospect talk is fine. Maybe a sub forum or club? Or make the team talk a sub forum? A lot of people just aren't up for the prospect talk 24/7/12 months a year. Not expecting this to gain any support or traction.

I think I've dealt with the average sports fan. It's not usually a good look. Can you imagine this board if the Sabres make the playoffs? It's already intolerable to the point that a good poster just stepped away.
