  1. Why is this even about children? Since when has it been acceptable anywhere to yell out random obscenities?

    NSFW (or most places!)

Jeebus, the Sabres lose one game (did I do that right, Taro?) and it's a civil war in here. Imagine if they make a playoff run? It'll be like the slaughterhouse scene from "The Walking Dead." Well, I'll be cow-clocked!

  2. If we fall out of the two top picks, Strome, Hanflin or Zacha would be great additions to the team.

Would be? Excuse me. Sorry to jump down your throat, but it gets a bit weary, this idea that all good picks are going to turn into all good prospects are going to turn into all great additions to an NHL team. If it were true, the Islanders would have played Edmonton for the Cup last year.

  3. Interesting that he completely exonerated himself from being a part of the reason the team sucked. He also left out the part "but hey they are giving me a mill a year until I'm 50 so it's all good".

And why in the world would he have thought the team was on an uprise? Because the fanboi owner thought he was like cute or something and was throwing money around? The core was rotten, and R&R had been here way too long. Anyone could see that.

  4. Interesting take - GMTM, and perhaps the Pegulas, the only one(s) who actually know what the real plan is? I am now picturing GMTM offering feigned commiseration and feigned outrage whenever Nolan barges into his office, angered at the team's latest failure. :)

BTW, for Tank Watchers, last night's victory has placed us one point ahead of Florida, Carolina and Edmonton. That's not good for the Tank.

I also have an inkling (hehe) that if there's a secret plan, it involves trading picks and prospects for real hockey players much sooner than later. (And I think GMTM actually hinted at it.) For all of Terry's faults, I don't think being too patient is one of them. And I take GMTM as the right guy for a quick(er) turnaround. Hell, the Sabres might even cash in the second overall pick, if they're lucky enough to get it.

  5. The Garth stuff is a funny inclusion in the post. I'd say it is a very safe bet that he will be sent packing shortly after that new ownership takes over. Maybe no in-season, but he will be gone before the draft.

New ownership takes over majority control in two years. How is it funny? He addressed the team's glaring needs. Although it's a safe bet he's a goner, what if the Isles make a decent run in the playoffs? And then get better next year in Brooklyn?

  6. I rise to question the naming of the trophy. OK, maybe I shouldn't have rosen, rosed, raised, whatever, because I myself just sharted. Not just. It was three hours ago. Anywho... A shart is when you are trying to fart and accidentally ###### yourself. That is not what the Sabres are trying to do. They are trying to ###### themselves but make it seem like it was an accidental fart.

Can I get a what what.

  7. Isles have a truly elite center about to bust out in a big way, better goaltending, a better defense, some good kids on the way up like Strome and Samson's bro Griffin, they're about to move to Brooklyn, it's the last season on the Island, Wang has announced he's selling the team, and the players have to finally have confidence that Garth knows what he's doing and/or ownership is finally serious about winning. There are so many factors swinging the Islanders' way right now I'm kind of surprised Taro elected to put them in the league. They are clearly going to finish last and might even have to be relocated to the bigs before too soon.

  8. I ran a half-marathon on Sunday in upstate NY. It was a fantastic fall day -- cool, sunny, blue sky, fresh and picturesque. I chilled out on the coach all afternoon, then went out for Mexican food, then went to a haunted house put on by the local high school as a fundraiser. They do a great job with it. Then had Monday off.

    It was an awesome weekend.

How is Chuck Dickerson these days?

  9. Yeah I can't wait to be reunited with my wife who is missing a tit, has maggots in her Hoo Ha and shacked up with my best friend when I turned.

Well the stench of Shane will never go away, but I reckon the bodies will regenerate back to their previous selves and the maggots will go on their merry ways.

  10. so my DVR cut out ( :censored: ) just as the person was taking off the hood/mask. Who was it?

Darcy. Nah it was the black father from the pilot episode who was with his boy. The boy hit Rick with the shovel and later in the series turned, causing his dad to go crazy in that apartment.

I agree on Lori. I think there is a small chance she's actually a live and a good chance that she's a walker that will end up killing one of the major characters. This will lead to Carl going into a rage of self-hatred since he couldn't shoot her before.

My theory is based on the idea that Carl couldn't shoot his dad when he thought he was turning, and if you can't shoot your dad... I also sometimes think there will be some miraculous resolution of the virus at the end of the series and people will be reunited with their loved ones. Think "Warm Bodies."

  11. I'm picturing a heartwarming Disney movie involving you and this horse, where you start out hating it, and then one of you saves the others life and you become inseparable. The horse later dies, but not before peeing on you one last time...

That's odd. I see it shaking out the other way around.

  12. Ditto on the episode kudos. I hadn't planned on watching... well, as Al Pacino said in The Godfather. You know what he said.

P.S. Y'all stuck around for the final scene after the credits, right? I actually predicted (privately) last season that that character would return. Yay me. I've never been right about anything. (And I think Lori is still out there, "alive.")
