This again? Lindy had no say in personnel matters or the "culture" of his team? Chris Neil knew that there would be no real consequences to taking a run at the Sabres' leader and best player. The brawl was a pretty mild and inconsequential response. The Sabres were then, are now, and seemingly always have been shrinking violets. Lindy was all bluster — and, by the way, went on to say a few years later that hitting means nothing unless it results in your team gaining possession of the puck. He tackled Billy Smith. Big deal.

Of course you're exaggerating but what if McDavid's injury is suspected of being something that could follow him for years, not enough to keep him from playing but perhaps enough to bother him? McDavid and Eichel might be close enough that it could push Eichel to number one. Just spitballin'...

So Bernie Parent was on Howard Stern the other day to talk about his life long struggle with man boobs and the non-surgical procedure that cured him. Howard knows next to nothing about hockey and can't properly pronounce Parent, but still a pretty good interview.

I'm in. Maybe incorporate red as a minor accent too to be a true combination. I'd use the same style of redesigned buffalo on the Bills helmets and Sabres jerseys. Bills jerseys could retain the current buffalo as a secondary logo on the shoulder pads or sleeves while the Sabres will add the crossed swords (and have multiple jersey options). Not sure what color to make the Bills helmets though - people would flip out over a switch to blue, but I don't think anyone else is using that shade right now.
Great thoughts. It could be so good. But it's risky — especially given how the Sabres tend to cluster###### up these things.

The 70s was a great time for Western New York sports. Sabres and Bills entered their current professional league and had some good/great players and Bonas was at the height of their history with Bob Lanier at the helm.
Will anything top the 90s though? We were so spoiled. Bills owned the first half of the decade, Sabres the second (and both teams were always watchable, even the Sombreros in 95-96). Super Bowls. The Aud. The Marena. Hasek. Kelley. Marv. Mucks. Art Wander. And a cast of thousands.
