  1. I'm definitely taking advantage of this little bonus.

So last night in my hockey game, this huge guy absolutely laid me out. I never even took a hit like that one when I played in actual contact leagues back in the day. Somehow the refs didn't call anything. Now I don't mind getting hit, it makes the games more fun, but this one was a bit over the top. I asked the ref about it at the next whistle and he told me he didn't see anything. I WAS CARRYING THE PUCK! What exactly is this ref watching if he didn't see anything?

  2. Let me clear myself up -- I was out until 5:30 last night, finally got to sleep about 6 or 7. THEN had to get up at 9. ;]

    PS: I'm 18.

And you're complaining about having to wake up at 9 the next day? It's your own damn fault.

  3. I hate how groups of 3 or more people think they're somehow entitled to the sidewalk more than anyone else. If all of you have to walk side by side, I'm not moving out of your way. Since you're probably smaller than me, I won't be the one who ends up on my ass.

  4. Today I'm going to complain about my stupid self. I've been trying all summer to get a set running schedule down to supplement my workout. Every time I start running, I hurt myself and then I can't run. In the spring it was a pulled muscle from hockey, a few months back it was a sprained ankle. Last night I cut my foot open on my box-spring. I CAN'T WIN! :wallbash: How am I supposed to get in shape if I can't run consistently?

    UGH.

Reminds me of when I hurt my shoulder back in December. My right arm was essentially useless so obviously I had to stop lifting. Ok, so it was time to catch up on the cardio I had been slacking off on a bit. A day or two later something goes wrong in my knee during a hockey game (playing hockey with one arm was fun). The only thing I could do for about a month was ride a bike.

Oh, and just to keep on topic, I'll complain about the fact that now that I'm well clear of those injuries, my schedule is too busy to find enough time to hit the gym consistently.

  5. Its not August yet. Get it right Blue. :censored:

Ok, for some reason this file that I'm working on here with two other people keeps randomly creating backup copies of itself. Normally that sounds like a good thing, but this one makes no sense. It has happened twice now this month, but with no real rhyme or reason to it. I have limited file space to work with, so its very annoying. Even stranger, for some reason the backup file is always noticeably larger than the original. How in the hell does that happen? :wallbash:

I also hate the idiot kids across the street from my apartment who still think its the 4th of July and keep firing off fireworks (usually towards buildings and cars). These idiots also fire them when the sun is still out. Smart.

  6. The worst with that is when someone's walking with an umbrella, and they're not watching behind them. Then you get poked in the gut with the tip of an umbrella when they start walking.

Some woman randomly jabbed her folded up umbrella to the side as I was walking past her today. Take a wild guess what her umbrella was level with.

  7. Speaking of umbrellas, people who use them. Unless it's a downpour, it's quite lame. Also: people in our neck of the woods who overdress during the winter. Generally not a problem, but women tend to do it, and especially out of towners, city folk and the like. Unless it's bitter, you'll find me in a light jacket and baseball cap. I mean, you're just going from the house to the car, the car to wherever, and back.

I absolutely hate people with umbrellas. I have no problem with using them, but most people carry them at around my eye level. They never look where they're going and I'm in constant fear of going blind. It doesn't help that its so windy out here in Boston.

  8. I've never been able to figure out this one. When I visit this board on my computer at work, I never have to log in. When I use my laptop at home, I always have to enter my username and password for this board. I don't have to do that for TSW from the laptop though. Any idea what's happening?

  9. Both this board and the stadium wall crashed last night and the board was restored to the spring of last year. I'm not sure if the recent posts will be restored. After SDS gets some rest, maybe he can chime in with more info on this.

It happened last night? I couldn't access the board while still at work, so I figured it happened sometime in the afternoon. Anyway, I hope it did or else work is catching on to my time wasting.

  10. I think it was said somewhere that Biron will start tonight.

Kevin Sylvester was just on with Shred and Ragan and he said Marty's starting tonight.

Also, Boston traded Milan Jurcina today, so we might be looking at an even more inexperience defenseman on the blue line tonight.

  11. 55 people one section away...holy sh!t. the chant is going to sound a lot louder to me this time.

The group was ridiculously loud last at the other game this year where they got together. Expect more of the same.

Blue Pominville jersey for anyone who cares.

  12. Hasn't there been a couple threads over the last few days about what Mair & Peters bring to the team? Could either of them be bothered to hit someone, ANYONE in a black jersey?

Hell, I'd settle for watching one of them knock down the girls who scrape the ice during TV timeouts...

If Golisano was willing to eat the loss, I'd cut both Peters and Mair if I was Darcy. I'm not a big fan of Novotny, but pair him up with guys like Stafford and Paille and we actually have a 4th line. It's such a minimal loss money-wise, I wish they'd consider down the stretch (well, moving Peters anyway).

Oh, and Glenn Healy is an idiot. He's asking why Ottawa would even bother answering any trash talk because they don't want to give Buffalo any kind of boost going into the future games. Then when Pommer scores with under a minute left, he's down playing it, calling it a meaningless goal. Come on Glenn, that goal is somehow worse than trying to talk someone into a fight?
