My son gets to play at halftime for the Bandits game Sunday.   Looking forward to going to a playoff game with him.  ***** TO.

    Bandits winning 5-0.  Go Bandits!

I’ve never seen a youth lacrosse league before. Are they common?

Yeah, I can’t really see a scenario where Im ever rooting for the Bruins to win anything.  And Sens are definitely higher than the Leafs on my hate meter.

I know it’s been a while now, but I still think of Toronto as being in the Norris. I’ll probably never go to another sabre home game, so the taking over the arena thing doesn’t really matter to me.

  3. I had 3 different cars make left turns into my lane yesterday at maybe 5 car lengths maximum on 55-65 mph roads and proceed to go 35. I’m trying very hard not to teach my son certain words but these idiots make it tough. So far he is a big fan of my sarcastic horn, laying on it for a good 30 seconds.

Say we waited for Rod and the Canes go very deep into the playoffs. Meanwhile Ruff and several other prime candidates get scooped up. Then at the last second Brind'amour resigns with Carolina. How do you envision we blame Adams for botching the coaching search?

Nitpick alert: Resigns means that he is leaving.

That was my first thought.  But there are a lot more than us.  And it's not just two in the Western Conference; besides Seattle, the Kings, Blues, Devils and Senators are all looking for coaches.

It did say “this offseason” though. Those others were all in season, your list anyway.

I’m praying this happens.  I could desperately use a two week vacation.  I have 100 hours of PTO they owe me so I’ll make more than when I actually work. 🤣

Cashing out PTO is one of the greatest things there is. Both times I’ve done that, it wound up being a hefty down payment on a car.

It will be interesting to see which defensemen Lindy prefers.  There could well be a shakeup in the pecking order.  I think our 7-8 Ds (Johnson, Bryson) are actually pretty good and perhaps to get the right mix of puck moving, toughness, and solid D play, one or both of those guys could end up in the top six based on Lindy's system.  (anticipating several puke emojis here)

RFA with a qualifying offer probably higher than he’s worth. Is he even back next year?

How good did it feel to start this thread?!

I’m trying to figure out a way that last Friday was my last day ever. Don’t think it’s going to happen, though, damn brain surgeons are too good these days.

I’m sure @Wyldnwoody44 could have pulled some strings. Hell, for all I know, with brain surgery it could literally be pulling a few strings to give you what you were looking for.

I had last Friday off (NFL Draft). Gotta do it today in order for it to be two weeks. It sucks it’s a Monday but I’d rather give them the extra 5 days. My boss has been very fair with me.  I wanted to do the same for them.

I feel like you answered your own question here. If you want to do right by them, take care of it early.

and in another note, there is nothing better than being told “we can do better than that” when you give a salary figure. I got that comment 10 years ago from my current  job.

I would've liked them to have drafted another WR.  Another shot at the dart board.

However, I trust BB and McD and on paper I like the guys they drafted.

And Ray Davis, the RB from Kentucky they took in the 4th round, presents just an incredible story of overcoming hardship:  https://theathletic.com/5293529/2024/02/29/ray-davis-nfl-draft-kentucky-vanderbilt/

Did it mention where he siblings are now?

I’ve seen this a couple times here (not sure if they’ve all been you).  But not sure why you would say that.  Even the chiefs didn’t believe that or they wouldn’t have traded up.
And it’s not like we just “got a 3rd”.  We gave up more than only the 28.

KC obviously wanted the guy and Buffalo did not. So if the Bills take someone else there, I’d imagine that KC then tries to make a deal with the next teams in the draft order. I feel like it’s a very high probability that they were going to get their guy.

Matt and Marty are Kevin’s guys. He’s protecting them for sure. One would think someone of Ruff’s stature would control the rest. I wonder if Doug Houda  might make a reappearance. They worked together in Long Island, and Ruff coached Dougie for a couple seasons. Linked is a list from ‘23. It’s neat to see so many familiar names still in the game.

There are so many “I forgot that guy played for us” names on that list. It’s no surprise that they pretty much all sync up with the last 13 years.

Yeah it seems odd that the NHL let him keep the Coyotes name and logo, and I believe also he has franchise rights in Arizona for the next 5 years if there's an expansion.  If he was so awful, why nut just cut ties with him altogether?  The only think I can think of is that by offering those things agreed not to fight the sale.

I wonder if they’ll give the Jets history back to Winnipeg.
