The concern comes with an offer sheet of 2 years. Big salary and no UFA years bought.
But then still able to trade him after the year. There are worse options out there.

No it's not.
The negative comments are a 1:1 correlation to how bad a job him and Pegula have done.
To keep the same hospital example it's like adding the Chief Surgeon if he feels responsible for the Chair of the Department firing administrators for releasing the number of people they killed that year in the OR.
Seeing as Kevyn Adams is doing the one killing in the OR, it seems like a totally fine question.
“To keep the same hospital example”… and then offers up a completely different scenario.

The Blues are now 2.5 million over the cap and have quite a few forwards. Gotta wonder if the Sabres could snag one with Byram.
But who would it take to balance out the money that Byram would get, plus that $2.5 million?

St Louis is a dump. But you don’t hear their GM have issues attracting free agents.
Have they been attracting high end free agents? I can’t really think of anything major from them other than the RFAs last year.

What Sabres employee who does press conferences would you like them to ask?
I'm other orgs it's a dumb question. My issue is the lack of follow up. A single question is "meh".
You have to hammer him about the orgs performance, his performance, and how continuously the offseasons are focusing on the wrong things over and over and over again.
Firing the producer for being critical is a great jump off point.
It’s like asking a surgeon about what toilet bowl cleaner the janitor is using. It has absolutely nothing to do with his job. Hell, he probably hasn’t actually seen a Sabres broadcast in ages. “Hey Kevin, why is the arena food substandard?”

Who is the genius that asked the general manager about a tv producer?

So Metsa finally got that NHL contract? Good for him.

Does this put Shane Doan in Rochester?
I assume Shane Doan is golfing every day.

Can't find a summary of the changes to the CBA that mentions length of service - neither it staying the same nor getting shortened a year.
They're reducing the maximum length of contracts by 1 year, but no data regarding when players become eligible for FA.
I feel like the cap sites would be on top of that change if it was happening.

Please let it be something worth getting excited about.
A Robertson trade
A big middle finger to Drury with a Cuylle offer sheet.
Fresh gunwale wax on the SS Pegula.
Guess what the Sabres don't have next year? Their own second round pick.

Where does signing him to begin with, rank on his list of worse moves?
He bought a 6th round pick. Those don't grow on trees.😁

Now add a center to the team that is better than the current next in line option Kozak.

$775. 2-way, then?
Extra term in exchange for a one way deal?

You watch a lot of 'Nucks games. Is Lankinen worth trading for? Or at least trying to trade for?
Would he be an upgrade over Lyon?
My only impression of his is that he absolutely sucked on a bad team in Chicago. I'm not so sure a bad team should be adding a guy who struggles while playing on a bad team. Shortsighted probably, but that's where I am right now.

3 years is interesting. He's one of those guys who I'd expect to see accept the QO, a short term deal hoping to earn a pay raise quickly.

They could start by having better intro music and more interesting color combinations/layout on the broadcast
its almost as boring as the product on the ice
They do that for the same reason that they get rid of an almost 40 year employee... to cut costs. That's business and it's nothing new. Just look at Dundon casting off two broadcasters that dated back to the Whaler days shortly after buying the Hurricanes. $$$$$$$$$$

Jake Allen reupped in NJ for 5 years, Demko signed huge extension is Vancouver. Really aren’t a lot of options so I guess roll the dice on Lyon.
I'm so out of touch with the contract numbers at this point, but that Vancouver goalie situation is odd to me. I guess $13 million isn't crazy for a pair of goalies. $4.5 million feels pretty pricey though for a backup. And then they've got 4 years of that locked up (1 cheaper year for Demko until the extension kicks in). I guess one gets moved at some point because I have a hard time seeing a full 4 years of that tandem.

Not for nothing…… hockey is entertainment. Darcy Regier recognized that there are a couple of ways to ice an entertaining squad, and May, Ray, Barnaby, Bougner works if you ain’t got the horses to score more goals than the other guys.
Darcy inherited each of those players. He then sent 3 of them packing within 2 years of taking the job.

Yeah. This is what happens when you are as bad as the Sabres though. Even the things just considered are reason to question Adams’s competence.
Also, one of the underrated negative consequences of always drafting in the top 10, is that those picks are valued higher than the players who are available in trade. Rust for 25th OA and nobody blinks an eye. Rust for 9th and ooff.
This whole thing is absolutely crazy. going to be a never ending list of things that were considered but wound up not happening. This is the internet and the 24/7 news cycle driving us to the point of insanity.

Tomorrow is going to be a pitchforks and torches day on the ol’ interwebs for Sabres fans methinks.
Are you not reading stuff here? Every day is pitchforks and torches day.

It’s almost like they only took on JBD in the trade for contract reasons, meaning Ottawa wanted them to take him to complete the deal.
I doubt that was an issue at all. Ottawa actually took on slightly more money from Gilbert’s contract. That deal goes through just fine in both sides if the defensemen are removed. There had to at least have been some interest from one side or the other on one of those guys.

Now trade UPL for anything you can get. Same with Muel.
If they move UPL they need to bring in another goalie. They need a 3rd and then probably one more for Rochester.

But he only likes his guys. Adams only adds guys he decides he likes or Terry likes. He can't deviate from his plan.
So is the idea that teams add players they don’t like? It’s an odd statement to be making.

So you’re saying 2 years a $4 million second day signing doesn’t free up their top guys? He’s a nice addition, but that contract screams filler.
