Right after the trade I kept hearing the same thought on NHL radio on XM over and over: "It's a bad deal because the sabres need a culture change... just look at Dahlin being punched by two players and no one coming to his aid... Cozens brings toughness". I don't know how people can say this over and over and fail to realize that Cozens was the one ignoring all those punches to Dahlin. If these talking heads can't review what happened one day ago, they certainly can't view the entire picture over the last couple of years.

And let’s not forget that this inflated opinion is about a Canadian as opposed to the American the Sabres added. But then the Sabres added a Canadian defenseman, so they should love that part.

He was only a sophomore, so the listers may not have even been looking at him.

They’ve also attempted to correct their biggest flaw, the goalies, several times. A pipeline only means so much if you never attempt to supplement it from the outside.

I’ve never read them. But it sure does say a lot when Tom Cruise sees a guy described as 6’5” and muscular and immediately says “hey, I should play that guy”. So you’ve read them. The stuff mentioned online always says that he is specifically described as being that size. Is that not the case?

The only way those Reacher movies could have been accurate to the character was if the rest of the cast was played by the lollypop guild. Those movies are the perfect example of the ego of Cruise. Apparently Ritchson was originally worried that he was too small for the role.

Maybe he’s not interested in signing right now. He seems like he could be in a spot where he might want to go back to Sweden if he’s unsure about an NHL job being available.

The only thing locking Reinhart long term would have done was draw a bigger return from the future trade. He was going to want out either way. He’ll, even Florida didn’t lock him up long term right away, starting off on a 3 year deal.
