  1. I’m watching Seven right now. My wife decides to walk in during the final scene and starts talking her head off. She’s so good at that, talking during the payoff of every single movie.

Ok, maybe “talking her head off” wasn’t the best choice of words.

I wonder how much more there is to the Jiricek situation as well.  Definitely something significant.

That whole thing is so screwed up when you hear more about it. He’s told to get a place in Columbus and then quickly after is sent to the AHL. I don’t blame the kid for being pissed.

  3. I’ve lost track of AHL affiliations. After just hearing that Cleveland is the farm team for Columbus, it got me thinking. Columbus has a population almost 3x as high as Cleveland (no idea how the metro areas shake out). Are there many cases in sports where the big league team (Guardians) are in a city that much smaller than the farm team (Columbus)?

Odd time of the season to do it so there must have been a major disagreement on how to proceed.

I don’t disagree with the firing at all just find the time of the season a little odd.

He wants to move certain people at the deadline Davidson doesn’t want moved? That’s about the only reason I can think of for it to happen right now.

… or the other way around, I guess.

Now I’m dreaming up ways to make the empty net goal even more spectacular to hurt Morgan Reilly’s feelings.

In all alone from the red line, how about a wrap around Michigan goal? That ought to get someone killed lol

I would like to see the first ever major penalty for being a douche. Someone will make history eventually.

That’s the name I initially wrote and thought it was wrong. Glad my brain still kinda works. Either way, I believe tight end is way more important than people think.

I agree. I just think it’s a more recent development, born out of the bubble wrapped QB era.

That surprises me that they were drafted the same year.

They had a good tight end though, no? I know you lived there so probably remember better than I do and I really don't feel like searching back through the Bills' trail of tears to find out.

K9 answered it earlier (I had no clue who they had). I’d have to say that those names don’t belong in the conversation. The initial wins were the era of Gonzalez and Gates (I may have his timeline wrong). They didn’t have anything near that level.

What constitutes the first wave? Fauria and Graham were the first couple that I remember who were featured in their offense. And then Ben Watson gave them some good years as well.

They had a 10 year gap between wins. And it was actually an honest question. I had no idea what the answer was. Those early teams, they didn’t win with their offense.

But I do think there is some merit to Swamp’s thought. The game has changed more recently, all part of when they started putting the bubble wrap around Brady.

Tight end is, and always has been, the key. I just don’t understand how people don’t see that. It was for Brady, the 90s Bills, every team that beat the 90s Bills, KC now. Every good to great team has a great, consistent tight end. Knox is not it. Kinkaid shows promise.

Can you name the tight end for the first wave of patriot wins?

    Actual albino, or just white?

(Know you're down in Carolina)  Around here, at the old Seneca Army Depot we've still got a herd of white deer.  (Not albino, their eyes are brown, not pink.)

Albino. It was pretty much down the street from me originally, but I think new construction has moved it a couple miles away because all the sightings are further away now… actually right near that golf course.

    Eagles eat carrion too.

Seriously though, the resurgence of eagles is something that amazes me.  As a kid, seeing an eagle was something that was brag about worthy.  And now I probably see 10 plus every Summer around the places I fish

The bigger rarity around here is the albino deer. I don’t know how long they live, but that sucker has relocated a couple times.
