  1. We have signed Jack Eichel to a new contract and have traded for Zach Redmond. We have made Zach available for any questions you may have - Zach?
  2. I think someone had it in the Amerks thread. Let me go look
  3. Woohoo! The addition of Nolan was writing on the wall for Des. Depth defense is more valuable imo than a guy like Des on the fourth line.
  4. Interesting. Thanks for the insight. I would have thought the issue with shirts is more with the overhead and printing cost making it so a $20 shirt only gets a dollar or so for the artist. But if they don't sell at all, then I would definitely pursue other avenues.
  5. Not a terrible idea, especially since going through 26shirts or others has such low margins for the artist.
  6. Also Project Fi is the . Nothing but good things to say about it as long as you aren't a heavy data user millennial. Should have quoted bio's post.
  7. Get hype! So excited to hear that Jack has signed and will be with us for a long time now. 8/$80M is right where I had hoped he would be given comparables, and keep in mind it covers his 21yr old to 29 yr old seasons, so expect him to be valuable through all 8 years barring injury.
  8. of course. my apologies.
  9. Don't you mean NHL All-Star John Scott?
  10. That was also one of Antipin's strengths from his time in Russia. Check out some of his youtube vids where he plays on the powerplay in the slot/net front. Crazy from a "defenseman".
  11. Griffith keeps getting looks all over. I guess I need to change my POV to figure him into a scoring line role going forward. It may be partially that and partially that the coaches may see him ultimately pairing with Bogosian who is currently out. I like the potential of a Risto-Beaulieu pairing. Balance on the D prevents 26 minutes a night for Risto.
  12. I think your trade is way lobsided in Colorado's favor. And the Option 2 is a worse lineup than option 1. Girgensens at #3 center is scary to me, he hasn't played center in multiple years and is wing only lately, and the bottom 6 is ugly.
  13. I'm more interested in where the this Griffith guy has come from, and why Liger was so high on him all preseason and camp that he was basically a lock for the roster.
  14. I'd say a 10 point improvement from 78 to 88 would be a good start, and anything more than that is gravy and gets us in the playoffs. To the bold - what the what?!
  15. To be fair, incremental improvement is much easier when it is dumpster fire->bad than it is to go from bad->good. To make a human analogy, it is much easier to lose 27 lbs when you are 350 and have a long way to go than when you are 220 trying to get under 2 bills. The last bit of work to get to the goal is often much harder than the first improvement.
  16. I'm encouraged by the limited preseason games I have seen. There are still a couple times where the old habit of insta-dump in starts happening, but I think every time I see that the player gives their own Vanek-face and realizes we aren't supposed to do that anymore. It will take time for the new habits to take over for the old crappy hockey, but I am willing to be patient to see how it goes. Plus the Bills coaching hire seems to have gone pretty well, which for some reason is making me optimistic, even though they are only minimally related.
  17. But think of the corsi rating! Without d-lo who is going to carry that crown?
  18. Definitely not Pommers. I'd like to know now, but I think it's basically ROR or Eichel.
  19. Sexy. Desktop background for sure. Thanks Peppy!
  20. Cool! Who did you work with at UB? My uncle was the head volleyball coach at UB for like 20 years, and I know most everyone there.
  21. I somehow came down with a cold this week even though it was 85 degrees all week. "Summer" colds are the worst - it looks so damn nice out and you can't do sh!t.
  22. Interestingly enough, I think our success or failure will be dependent on the current 3rd line. If that turns into a useful line that allows us to keep the top two lines as currently constructed which should be a plus for us. Help us Samson, you're our only hope...
  23. Color me surprised. Even if it is just unpaid leave, this is more than what I thought would happen given the way schools bend over backwards for big name coaches.
  24. You say that, but this is exactly the type of corruption where I wouldn't be surprised at all if Louisville finds some thin stance to keep him on just so they can win basketball games. Anyone who says NCAA sports is about the athlete-students is lying to your face.
  25. Good points. However, how many scandals can Rick Pitino survive? To pull a soccer analogy, does his accumulation of yellow cards finally get him out of Louisville?
