Probably because Clague has looked good playing w/ Power particularly or Dahlin but not when playing on the 3rd pairing. And if he's in for Bryson, he's 3rd pairing. Bryson isn't a tire fire on the PK. Expect that isn't the case for Clague. Both are 7's. Based on Jokiharju's being glued to Power's hip, don't expect Clague to get to play w/ the guy he's been comfortable with. So, Bryson gets to play. Hopefully Adams can find a McCabe that isn't going to cost a 1st nor a key prospect. Otherwise, we'll continue to get servings of Bryson.

Originally was disappointed when it turned out somebody bought today's tix. (Had thought they'd been pulled off the ticket exchange. Oops.) In hindsight, am OK with it.
-
Guess not. Tuch is on the ice now.
-
Is Tuch injured? Okposo's been out in his spot the last 2 shifts.
-
And this 2nd period might've been their worst of the entire year. At least if the ice is tilted, it's in the right direction as the Sabres shoot twice this way.

Granato did. But getting Jost was the tool that let Granato do that. Since being moved to wing, Mittelstadt picked up his game. Regardless of which skaters he's been put with. Both Don & Mitts expected him to play wing this year. But until Jost arrived, the Sabres didn't have 4 effective C's. So Mitts sucked it up & played C and for most his his time there as the 2C. He was put in a role he wasn't ready for for whatever reason. Since getting put into 1 he is equipped for, he's played well. Thing is, since he got his confidence back, on the couple of occasions he's been pressed into playing C, he's been fine.

That 1st 20 might've been the best 3 shot period this kid had ever witnessed. They were outshot by 8, but really only gave up 2 dangerous chances, 1 off the PP on the weak call on Okposo. And, if they hit the net a bit more could've easily been up 4 or 5 to zip.

Since last week? 😉

And 1 wasn't a fulltime D-man.

Well, Chiarot is the cautionary tale for why McCabe MAY net a 1st. But also why the Filly 2nd should be enough to land him.
-
Wouldn't be at all surprised if nobody makes a better offer for him than the Phlyers 2nd. (CAN see somebody giving up a high 1st, but wouldn't have any money on it.) Considering that the Hawks are in full on rebuild mode, that Filly 2nd could get the deal done.

It WAS the wrong thing to do. But it's good that sometimes there are people like the big guy that do the wrong thing because maybe the next rocket surgeon that's going to act like an entitled weenie will think twice before acting like an entitled weenie. Society as a whole is better when people remember that when in public they should ask themselves SHOULD this be done not CAN this be done. But, to your 1st sentence, 2 things: 1 - per our resident Texan, that punch likely wasn't illegal. & 2 - just because something is illegal, it isn't necessarily wrong. There are all sorts of unjust laws on the books in various places.

Expecting you'll be disappointed. No way Granato doesn't roll with Ukka Pukka Duukka today.

Realize it doesn't answer your question. That is for @LGR4GM to do as the question was specifically asked of him. Was specific in explaining why the post you responded to was made. A lot of people don't know the CBA particularly well (which is perfectly fine, there is nothing wrong w/ just being interested in the games & not the business side of things) and could very well have gotten the impression from your post that the contract would slide if he was in Europe but wouldn't if he was an Amerk.

The 3rd line was a big problem when it was used as the 2nd line. Since dropping the 3rd line deployment it hasn't been a problem & since Jost subsequently joined it, it has been actually been good.
-
Point of clarification for those reading your post, whether Östlund is in the AHL or the SHL or any other non-NHL league, his contract will slide again next year. Unless he plays 10+ NHL games, his contract is sliding again.

What Do You Expect Of Quinn The Last Part Of Season?
Taro T replied to bob_sauve28's topic in The Aud Club
Not trying to speak for PF, but most likely exactly as it has for the last 15 or so games. If the kids ice time gets reduced, Cozens will bump Jost &/or Krebs off their lines & he continues to get his normal ice time. -
Yeah, it was an exaggeration of your position about specifically D-handedness but also your dislike for F lines being comprised of a single handedness.

Joisey's 3rds this year are black w/ a couple of pairs of white piping near the top & bottom of the shirt and no logo but a script "Jersey" in big white letters. At the All Star Game, saw a Joisey fan wearing that jersey along with a black baseball cap using the same font spelling out "Hat." A very small white Devils logo was on the back of the cap. It was extremely sad but yet also genius at the same time.
-
No. It violates one presuming the Sabres have traded for him.
-
Why?
-
Where? When?
-
But IF you were a Joisey Devils fan, AND you owned one of those black 3rd "Jersey" jerseys would you also buy the matching "Hat" hat? Am SERIOUSLY considering getting one of those hats even though do not like the Devils just because they are SOOOOOO stupid, they're awesome.

The interesting thing about Chychrun is because his family and the Pegulas are friends is that when he becomes a UFA they COULD (not would, but could) have a gentleman's agreement to a reasonable deal in the NHL and then him getting a "job" in one of the Pegulas' businesses a year or 2 after he retires that makes his overall pay through the years in line w/ what he could've made playing for a different team. Again, not saying the Sabres nor he would do such a thing, but it would be pretty tough to make a collusion case against it based on their history.

Is Skinner's middle name Tanner?
