  1. Past hour
  2. That late goal really upset me because it's a continuation of a really bad habit that has just killed this team.
  3. Naw, we just crap on everything. It's a reflex.
  4. If all other things remain the same: Dahlin Byram Kesserling Mrtka
  5. Can you notice the improvement in the arena speakers?
  6. Thought Buffalo did well that period. McLeod missed a could good chances.
  7. Mrtka got rubbed out by the net. Hockey is actually better to watch from the end zones.
  8. Good 1st; we look better than when Red Wings-lite played the Rochester Americans+
  9. McLeod robbed by Cossa. (Well sort of, you hit him in the winged wheel and even with 14 extra lbs of muscle you probably aren't putting it through him.) Great pass from along the boards by Tuch to him sending him in clean behind the D.
  10. These aren’t bad seats. Especially when they are free
  11. I don't think $10MM/yr is an overpay at all. And frankly the Sabres have to pay Tuch even if it means overpaying for some over-30 years. I just feel kind of bad for Tage who's being grossly underpaid for his production right now. But that's the deal he signed. Well, if you want the Sabres to keep losing, sure.
  12. Shoot. 2-1. Kane. Sabres still have issues with puck carrier below the goal line leaving the slot clear for a sniper to sneak in. Lyon with no chance. Should be a Sabre.
  13. Byram out for the very end of the kill.
  14. Did Mrtka put Bryson on his shoulders and skate around with him?
  15. McLeod and Tuch on the PK. Dahlin and Timmons the D. Followed up with Norris and Benson and Mrkta and Bryson.
  16. I think Mrtka skates as well as power did at 19.
  17. He definitely is more self confident than Power at a same juncture.
  18. Johnson loses his stick in the corner, stays with the play and seems to legally get the puck away from the Wing, but the ref did not agree. 2 minutes for holding. Wings to the PP. Very possible.
  19. They just made up for it on a weak holding call
  20. Byram saved a goal. Not sure how he didn't get called for covering it in the crease (didn't look that closely at it, maybe the puck was outside the crease when it was under him) but still 2-0 Sabres.
  21. If I'm Tuch's agent I hold to a ridiculous ask and see how the season plays out. Tuch can keep saying "I love Buffalo" "I want to be in Buffalo" and "I'm not thinking about it. My agent will work all that out." If the season tanks he can walk into that big free agency class, save face, and have all his options available. If I'm the Sabres, I wait to see how the season goes and if I can't get a reasonable deal done I just play out the season. If it is not looking like playoffs I move him for a haul at the deadline and begin the new new re-rebuild. If the Sabres give him a huge overpay they are screwed no matter what happens. They are in a tough spot and a full rebuild might be the only way (potentially) out of it. Nobody wants to hear that but if your only option is to continually overpay or look like a league farm team constantly having players walk you'll never get anywhere.
  22. Well, hopefully should it come to that, and not wishing it on Bobrovsky but should it come to that, am hoping that preseason vs a mix of NHLers and AHLers isn't the same as playing vs NHLers. If it takes FLA falling off due to injuries to sneak the Sabres into the playoffs, so be it. Had Fasching not kicked a goal into the net that counted, FLA might very well have missed the dance the year they lost to Vegas. Would be poetic somehow that their run ends with the Sabres sneaking past them.
