  1. Past hour
  2. Kevyn is out, the only concern is he moved into another job, which would not be a smart move. He will not touch Beane and McD. They will be accountable for the teams record and they will also have a plan on how to improve. Terry will concur, which is the smart move for him.
  3. Quinn should be the next one gone. He's incredibly useless.
  4. True, but does Power need to be one of the five? Or, they can move one of those guys who's not worthy of the full 8 at this time for something they need that is cheaper (and then give Celebrini 10). That's one of those good problems to have. The problem that Adams saved all his boss' money for only to find... Cozens on another roster, Samuelsson and Luukkonen on the injured list, Quinn on a bridge (and still on the 3rd line), Byram on a bridge, and Peterka on another roster. Norris on IR. And still paying Skinner anyway.
  5. This is a pretty small list for taking over a last place team five years ago but lets look atit. Mitts for Byram weakened the center spline and improved the defense. He got the better player but he took another season to address the hole at center by adding McLeod. McLeod was a good trade for Savoie. Cozen for Norris is not working so far, and we have an even bigger contract to swallow. Plus we gave up a 2nd rounder. Peterka for Kesselring is TBD - and he didn't add to the top 6, and he is counting on Benson/Quinn/Kulich. If Benson becomes a 25-30 goal player then ok, but we had both of them at one time and we didn't have to trade Peterka. Zucker was probably his best FA pick up. Add it up. His work on the top of the roster does not show any improvement in the W/L column.
  6. I think this org either wants somebody like Jarmo in charge or they want somebody like Adams in charge. They will either stick with the plan with Adams in the Hockey Ops C-Suite or they won't. I don't think there is a grey area where they hire a real life NHL professional to roll up to Kevyn Adams.
  7. That must have been tough to watch last night! I'm of the opinion that the problem is chemistry in some way. Everyone being on the same mental plane and things like that can work themselves out. Sports is crazy and crazy things happen. I believe in the talent on the team, for the most part, just not sure the leadership is there to get everyone pulling on the oars together in harmony. In 1980 team USA lost to the Russians 10-3 before the Olympics before the glorious Miracle happened. So hopefully our Sabres turn it around. I'm just not ready for the season to be over already with all these games left. They just have to turn it around!
  8. The owner fool values loyalty over performance.
  9. So much for our 1C experimentโ€ฆit was unrealistic to expect him to be our top line center. Now it appears he canโ€™t even handle special teams.
  10. Certainly, there's potential for that --- particularly if Jarmo balks at the structure/approval process. Or, if they see him as a scapegoat for negotiation failures with Peterka (or Tuch/Benson later), etc. Pegula wants to be surrounded by his yes-buddies.
  11. That 54 mill goes down real fast when you pay 5 guys 8 mill a year , which they probably will have to do.
  12. If Adams is moved to POHO I don't think it's Jarmo, I think it's Forton as GM
  13. Kulich was not on a PP in practice.
  14. Kevyn is a lame duck. He might stay with the org but heโ€™s not our GM next season. McBeane are here as long as Allen puts up with this bs.
  15. Everything is proceeding as Sheevyn has foreseen. Jarmo to GM. Adams to POHO. Ruff to Senior Advisor. Appert to HC. The question then is: does Jarmo have enough clout (or just patience) to enact his vision and trades without having to simply do as Adams/Pegula want? Will he storm out Lafontaine-style or will he rebel Boterill-style and get fired for not listening? And how soon can he turn this return gig with a dysfunctional leadership into a stable, real GM job on another franchise?
  16. Nah, Kevyn is out and I think Kevyn and Terry already agreed to give it one more go. They'll promote Kekalainen or Karmanos. Beane and McDermott ain't going anywhere.
  17. They have Dickinson now, he's basically Power but probably better. No need to trade for Owen. They can just wait a couple years because everyone knows they're young... although they have more games played than the Sabres.
  18. Curious of the perspective of both Sabres and Bills fans right now. It should be Kevyn Adams and it should have been done at least 365 days ago. My money is on Terry running it back with all 3. (I spared Lindy on this list, because his contract is up anyways. He isn't coaching anybody in 26-27. He would just be a scapegoat)
  19. He had an injury in the preseason and hasn't fully healed yet is what I've heard through Fairburn. He definitely hasn't looked as gritty as he had last year in board battles. I haven't seen him really rip a shot yet either.
  20. Remember when Beane went on wgr this very offseason and melted down over a previous segment wondering how they value wr? Entire groups were all like good for Beane! Yea!
  21. Sometimes Iโ€™m really surprised by some of the stuff I read here. This wasnโ€™t one of those times.
  22. I'm sorry but Cozens is bad and so is Mittelstadt. Fantastic. Lol ๐Ÿ˜†
  23. Kulich a healthy scratch?
  24. Today
  25. San Jose can remake their blue line next offseason (3 players under contract and 1 RFA for next season). They'll have $54M available to spend. But, they watch the tape. Do they want to spend $8M on Power or use that money for other resources? Do they think Power is a D1/PP1?
  26. Would be nice trade partner for Owen power I suppose if we don't wait too long.
